(Back at the octopod)
(Barnacles pov)
After arriving back at the octopod, I decided to head to my room and change out of my winter gear
(pictured above, it's a leather jacket and he doesn't have his hat on)
After changing, I headed to the HQ, once I got there kwazii and saber was talking to Nora, saber waved me over "kwazii and saber were telling me your an arctic explorer barnacles" Nora explained as I walked up to them, "the captain is many things, I've never met a more talented polar bear" inkling added, "oh I don't know about that Professor" I said humbly, "nonsense, I've never worked under a better captain" tweak chimed in, just then dashi peso and Shellington arrived "captain saber, kwazii found you" peso exclaimed excitedly, "well, someone's happy to see you" Nora remarked with a smile, I nodded in response, "I'm dashi, mind if I take your picture?" Dashi asked unsurprisingly, "I don't mind at all" Nora replied, dashi snapped a photo and Shellington began to speak "I'm Shellington, it's nice to meet to you" he introduced himself while shaking Nora's paw, I just wish I knew what was making me feel so anxious
"How did you end up In Antarctica?" Shellington asked curiously, "the same as you, I'm an explorer, I just happened to come across saber and you're handsome devil of a captain" she remarked smirking at me, "oh..um..thank you" I said blushing slightly and rubbing the back of my neck nervously, "ooh, someone's smitten" saber teased playfully, "sounds like you have an admirer captain" kwazii laughed, I just sighed and walked over to my post near the octo-alert and began working on updating the octo-map
Thing is I do kinda like Nora but I've only just met her, if she does feel the way she's hinting at then I'll let her make that decision herself, I'm not one to rush things, besides she's a wolf and I'm a polar bear, I'm not sure how that would work "barnacles.." I heard my name behind me, I turned to see that the crew had left me and Nora alone in HQ "sorry if I made you feel awkward earlier" she apologized, "it's alright, you know you're quite pretty yourself" I responded without thinking much, "why did I just say that?" I mentally scolded myself, "thanks..." Nora responded, "I'd like to see where this goes if that's okay with you?" She added, "I'd like that too" I responded sheepishly, seems she may have already made her decision
