chapter seven: (part 3) the visit

(Kwazii's dream)
I woke to find myself in the HQ, why am I here? I know I don't sleep walk...do I? I then heard a all to familiar evil chuckle that made my blood run cold, I didn't want to turn around but I then felt a excruciating pain and everything went black

(Kwazii pov)
I shot up right in my bed only to realize it was just another nightmare about skinner, I'd been getting those a lot lately, I looked to see that saber was sound asleep in her little nest she made for herself on one side of my room, I didn't exactly want to go back to bed after....well that, so I decided to see if the captain was up, he wasn't but I just sat at his desk not really knowing what to do with myself, I sat there for a while before finally drifting into sleep

(The captain's pov)
I woke up with a stretch as I always did, I noticed a pair of orange cat ears poking up past the back of the chair that was in front of my desk "eh?" I asked outloud to myself, I went and saw kwazii sleeping, I knew it was kwazii from the start, I just don't know why he's not in his own bed I decided to wake him "kwazii kwazii" I said shaking him lightly, Kwazii's eyes opened slowly and he jumped at seeing me and actually knocked the chair over as he landed on the floor next to it, he sat up shaking his head

"You alright?" I asked him, kwazii just looked at me "um...aye captain" he said sheepishly, "it's okay kwazii, why did you sleep in my room? It's all I want to know" I said calmly trying to make kwazii feel less awkward, "captain...can I tell you something kinda personal?" Kwazii asked, "sure you can" I said gesturing for him to set on my bed next to me, I wonder what he wants to talk about

(Kwazii's pov)
I sat down next to the captain "um..you remember when I was telling you about me sisters" I said, the captain nodded in response "well there's someone I need to tell you about more as a safety factor" I explained, "a safety factor?" He questioned, "well...have you ever heard saber talk about a fox called skinner?" I asked, "actually yes, do you know who she was talking about?" Barnacles asked, "he hates me" I told the captain, "why would he hate you?" The captain asked concerned, "well when you found me, I was injured, that was the last time I saw my sisters, skinner has always hated me family and I don't know why" I told the kind bear, "di-did he hurt you kwazii?" The captain stuttered, "yes" I replied quietly, the captain glared at the wall before eventually standing up "is everything okay captain?" I asked, "you say that fox hurt you?" Barnacles questioned once more, "yeah..." I said not really sure how to respond, I don't know what the captain is doing "then he's got a polar bear to answer to" the captain said protectively, "thanks captain, I didn't think I was going to get that kind of attitude from you but I'll take it" I said somersaulting off the bed, "kwazii your my friend and I would never let anyone hurt you" he responded, "boy, I wished I had you around when he went after me the last time I saw me sisters" I remarked, "well, he won't be able to get near you with me and saber there" the captain said with a laugh, he's right, Saber's pretty protective of me too, for good reason, after what happened to her ship, I don't really like talking about Saber's biological family because it makes me sad to know her family was just Stripped Away from her with no warning but the octonauts are her family now and she's my daughter and I won't let that happen to her again
