(Barnacles's pov)
"So, what are you doing in the anarchic?" I questioned facing natquick, "I came here to do some research but as you can see I ran into a bit of a problem" natquick explained as he gestured to his research station, "it's frozen to the ice and I can't get it broke loose" he added, "mmm" I hummed trying to think of a solution, Saber walked up to the research station and looked back over her shoulder at me "captain, do you think the gup-I could pull it loose?" She asked, "well, we'll never know until we try, it's worth a shot" I replied, this may be the answer to the problem
"Dashi and I can go grab it cap" tweak explained, "alright, just be careful" I responded, tweak and dashi nodded in unison before walking off, "so, how did you meet your friends here barnacles?" Natquick asked curiously, "well, I worked on a cargo ship for a number of years, that's how I met tweak" I explained, "that's right, tweak told us a lot about you" Shellington laughed, "aye, the captain found me in the middle of the ocean, I was injured, I've been his first mate ever since" kwazii said with a smile, "and kwazii found me in a similar manner, I lost my biological family to a ship raid when I was an infant, life as an octonaut is all I've ever known" saber added, despite her mostly unknown origin, it's gotten quite hard to imagine the octonauts without saber..without any of the cat family really
"I worked in a lab when I met our founder Professor inkling, he asked me to help with some of his research in the ocean, I became a permanent fixture on the crew after that" Shellington explained, "dashi came on around the same time I did, she's from new Zealand, she used to work in a hotel in Hawaii before inkling asked her to be our resident photographer" he added, "Kwazii's my twin brother, peace and ocean are our younger sisters, we're sabers aunts too" Kateleen explained, "I'm an explorer, I came across saber and barnacles not to long ago" Nora explained, "are you an octonaut Nora?" Natquick questioned, "no, maybe one day but I'm sure I'll be sickning around though" Nora replied glancing at me with a loving look, I know I've said it before but I'm happy with her, I've never felt this way about anyone before, I...I think I love her
