I've never been in detention before so I'm kind of curious to see what it will be like.
"You got into detention? How?" I pulled Darcey into the restroom and locked the door.
"Why are you so surprised? I'll have you know that I'm a pretty rotten egg myself" I dusted my invisible coat of confidence.
"Says the girl who can't hurt a fly" She rolled her eyebrows.
"I just think that they also have a life like us. How would you feel if a giant should swat you out of nowhere?"
"If I'm flying round his head and screaming in his ear then he has every right to swat me" She said
"It wasn't actually my fault. I was writing my test like a normal human person would but Whitney and her group kept on insulting George. Poor guy"
"Yeah, I heard he's resigning this year. He's been through so much because of your classmates"
"No, they're Jace's classmate"
"How long are you gonna stay in there?" Someone yelled from outside
"Why am I always thrown into this type of situation when you're around?" I asked Darcey
"I don't know but if anyone sees you in here, it's going to be pretty bad" She scanned around the room.
"There" She pointed at the air vent "You can use that to get away from here"
"I don't even know where that leads to" I said
"Who cares? Do you wanna get caught?"
"True" I carefully removed the lid and stood on the sink.
"I need some boost" Darcey came from behind me and carried my leg and pushed me up. I crawled into it and she put the lid back on. Jace owes me a lot and I'll make sure he pays my back when he returns.
I've been doing so many things that I never knew I could do because of his stupid plan. Honestly, I didn't think that I could pull this off. My mom doesn't even care that I'm not at home. She's so irresponsible but for the first time, I'm glad that she doesn't care about us.
I don't know where this thing is going to. I've been going straight for the past half hour and it doesn't look like the tunnel is ending anytime..
"Argh" I crashed on the floor. "Ow, that hurt" I held my stomach.
"Hahaha" I heard people laughing and I raised my face up from the ground and looked around. I'm in my class?
"Way to make an entrance Mr Reece" The grumpy Mr George said
"Um"
"Just take a seat and shut up" He said "Cell phones" He pushed a box of everyone's phone to me.
I put my phone into the box and picked up my broken body and went to my seat.
"Ugh, Detention is Soo boring" Maddie groaned
"I know, I'd rather be at home watching news" Whitney said
"I don't know if you girls know but I can hear you loud and clear" He said
I have to admit, they're right, Detention is even more boring than regular class. At least the grumpy man is not boring holes in our foreheads. Andrew has been sleeping since I got here and I decided not to disturb him.
After that night, it makes it hard to be mad at him. He's still a jerk and still irritates me but I hate him less now. He may put up a fit and act tough but he's still a broken guy.
