"So you mean that he tried to kiss you but you didn't let him?" Darcey asked me for the millionth time.
"Yes, Darcey, how many times will I tell you?"
"It still doesn't make any sense to me"
"Why doesn't it make sense? Why would I kiss him" I said
"Why wouldn't you? Have you seen him? And that ass, oh damn" She groaned
"What of Andrew? It's times like this that I wonder if you're truly an Andrian shipper" I said
"Of course I am, I just feel like you've been letting him down a lot"
"I couldn't do it ok. I admit, a part of me did want to kiss him and find out if his lips actually taste as good as the look but I just couldn't. I thought of Andrew and what he'd do if he found out"
"Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it this same Andrew that you said is acting really strange and might me cheating on you?"
"That was just a hunch, ok?"
"Really? Has he proven you wrong? Isn't he still weird?"
"I hate that you always know everything" She chuckled at my statement.
"Julian, don't you think that it's time to let him go. A long distance relationship can never work out and even if it does, neither of you come out happy. You're never free around a guy because you believe that everything is cheating. I love seeing you and Andrew together but I love you more. The universe has given you a new love interest like Logan, don't let this pass you by" She said
As much as I hate to admit it, she's right. I don't exactly know how I feel about Logan but this is the way Andrew and I will always be. We'll even grow more apart when we get into college.
I have to talk to Andrew.
I called all my friends to the park so that we can relax our minds and try to solve the issue on our hands.
"Alright, does anyone know how to raise ten thousand dollars in less than a week?" I asked
"Nope but I know how we can make about a thousand bucks" Rico said
"In a day or a week?" I asked
"A year" He said
"That's not very helpful, Sherlock" I said
"How about we have a cheer fest?" Jolene said
"A cheer fest? What's that?"
"It's like a festival but dedicated to cheerleaders. People basically pay a couple of bucks to watch us perform" Maddie said
"Ok, ok, that's good but I don't think we can get that amount of money from a cheer fest" I said
"How about a football game? People love watching ball and the stadiums are always insanely packed" Riley said
"Even if we decide to do that, we're going to have to book the stadium but it's not a totally bad idea, let's write that down Nirvana" She nodded and scribbled down some words.
"A play" Whitney said
Everyone turned to her direction.
"We can have a play. People love watching plays. My uncle who owns a theatre pays his children school fees from it and they attend Yale" She said
"Really? I didn't know you can make that much money from a play" Logan said
"Yeah, that's because he includes dance performances and theatre arts. His play tickets are four times the price of other theatres but he's always packed on the big night" She said
"What of the theatre? It's not like he's just going to hand it to us. We're going to have to pay a particular amount of money" I said
"Yeah but not exactly. He's kind of out of town and I kinda have the keys with me" She said
"Wow, Whitney, Why are you being so nice to us?" Molly asked
"I have a heart too ok? I care about somethings, this job happens to be one of them" She said
Who would have thought that such peaceful words could come out of Whitney's mouth.
"You all aren't even seeing the biggest obstacle. How are we going to create, rehearse and finalize a play? Not to mention the fact that we still need to prepare our performances" Darcey said
"We'll figure this out ok? Let's down to the theatre and divide ourselves into different sections" I said
We got into our various cars and drove off to the theatre. I pushed the extremely long bamboo wood door and I was amazed by what I saw.
I didn't know that it was possible to own such a gigantic theatre. It is nothing like any theatre that I've ever seen.
"And you wonder why your uncle is even richer than actual directors" Derek said to Whitney
"Alright guys, we are going to work on a really short but nice play. Derek and Rico, I need you guys to get some volunteers who can act. Jolene and Maddie gather some of your former cheerleaders and work up a nice routine. Riley, Tonio and Logan, look up some plays or whatever but think of ideas. Nirvana, plan the seating arrangements, food, water and every other arrangements. Whitney, spread the word and finally, Darcey get some art and craft kids and start working on the stage" I commanded
"Yes, boss" they all replied.
I sat down on the stage and looked around. What am I thinking? I can't possibly be thinking of acting in front of so many people.
Strangely, as my mind was having a little breakdown, my mind wandered off to Logan. I kept thinking of him and how I turned down his kiss.
"Hey" I looked up and saw Logan staring at me. He quietly took a seat beside me.
"Look, I'm really sorry about yesterday"
"No, it's cool. I get it, you're not attracted to me but it's a shame that I am to you" He said
"No,no, that's not it. Everything just happened way to fast and it felt like a dream"
"So you're indirectly saying that I should be less pushy?" He chuckled
"Yeah, reduce your bull dozer mode"
"Bull dozer?" He burst into laughter.
I know that my heart might be in a very far place from Logan but I'm willing to give him my attention.
