C H A P T E R 40

Somethings doesn't feel right. Why is the entire school looking at me like I commited a crime?

"Is it just me or is the entire school against me or something?" I asked Orion

"I don't know, Why don't you go meet your other best friends because clearly I'm not one of them" He had tear stained eyes.

"Orion, Why are you crying? Did Jace say something to you?" I asked

"Why do you care? At least he's honest, you know that I can forgive people for almost the worst of things but not my best friend hiding stuffs from me" He slammed the locker in my face.

"Orion....Ori" I called out to him but he didn't look back.

Well that was weird. There's Riley, I bet he can tell me what's going on.

"Hey Ri, do you know what's going on?" I asked him

"You make me sick" He spat out his orange seed and walked away.

Ok, that's also weird.

"Um, Miss Reece, May I see you in my office?" Principal Mason said

This should explain what the hell is happening with everyone and why they're all mad at me.

I saw Jace, Maddie, Whitney and my mom in the office.

"Miss Whitman, Can you tell Miss Reece what you were telling me earlier?" He said to Maddie

"Yes, um Julian didn't really go to New Orleans, she was actually here all long pretending to be her twin brother" She said

I can't believe this

"Care to explain yourself?" Principal Mason said

"Let me explain for her, She's a lazy student who was just trying to run away from school work" Whitney said

"Thank you, Maddie and Whitney and as for the both of you, you will be punished" He said

Maddie stood up and ran out of the office. I ran after her because I still can't believe that she betrayed me.

"Why are you doing this?" I yelled at her

"Tch, you didn't really think that I was your friend. Look, you're pretty but I was only using you to get close to your brother but I'm tired of pretending to be your friend" She walked away

I heard the sound of heels clinging against the tile.

"You know, I didn't realize how pathetic you were but I guess you love your brother a lot. You can do whatever you want but don't pull me into your mess" My mom said

"Mom, go, leave me alone"

There was only person right now that I want to be with.

Andrew.

Wait a minute, if the entire school knows then that means....

Holy shit.

I ran as fast as I could to the gym to look for Andrew before he leaves for class but he was gone. I looked through the glass on the door of my classroom and saw him.

My heart warmed at the sight of him. I ignored the stares of everyone and went to take my seat. As soon as I sat down, he stood up and went to sit down at the front of the class.

Wow, he must be really mad at me. I waited until after class to talk to him. He picked up his bag and left two minutes before it ended.

That's how things have been for three days now. He won't talk to me and everyone is mad at me. Everyone except Darcey, she wasn't caught up in this lie so there was no reason for her to be mad at me.

School for the day is basically over but I don't feel like going home. I bought a taco and attempted to eat it.

I was eating my taco when I saw Andrew come out of school. This is my chance to talk to him.

"Hey Andy, Andy, wait up" I bent my back and started panting like an idiot.

He stopped and pushed his hands in his pocket but he didn't say anything to me.

"Are we ready going to do this? You lie to me all the time like it's your hobby but now you're going to ignore me because of one lie?"

"Is that really what you think of me?" He asked

"No I" He turned around and for the first time since a very long time, he was standing in front of me.

"You had me convince myself that I was gay. I thought I was loosing my mind because I was falling in love with you and your brother at the same time. Turns out, it was you all along. You know how to get mad at people for doing the worst of things but you're the worst. You wanted me out of your life right, we'll have a good life" He walked away from me

What have I done?

I crashed down to the ground and curled into a ball. I cried my eyes out.

This is the most painful thing that has ever happened to me.
