Prom is in two freaking days and it doesn't seem like Andrew has any plans of asking me to be his date.
He's such an idiot.
"Wait, you mean to tell me that he hasn't asked you to prom?" Maddie chuckled
"Yes" I opened my locker and started clearing out some of the contents in my bag.
"Why don't you just ask him like I did?" Darcey said
"Because I... I don't know...ok?" I said
"You're impossible" Orion said
Riley and Jolene came up to us.
"Have you guys heard the news?" Jolene said
"Uh,no" Maddie said
"Whitney's on probation" Riley said
"I thought that it's only people who are involved in a crime can be on probation or something like that" Darcey said
"Yeah because she kind of is"
"So what happened to her anyways?" I said
"Well, she didn't pass her finals but she wasn't bothered because she believed that her dad would bribe her way into college but a complaint was raised against her for cyber bullying" Jolene said
"Her father was mad at her for not passing her exams and decided to let law take it's hands on her. Anyways, she was given community service and she has a special counseling class with summer school on top of it" Riley said
"Wow, that's...... I know Whitney was a jerk but that's so much" I said
"Yeah right, she deserves the worst punishment ever" Darcey said
"Whoa, slow down" Maddie chuckled "By the way, are you guys like official? Because you're so cute" She said
Riley rubbed the back of his neck and cleared his throat while Jolene's cheeks turned into a tomato.
I cleared out my locker and kept my backpack in it. My phone beeped in my pocket and I pulled it out. It was a text from lover boy.
Wanna ditch school with me again? Meet me at our spot.
I smiled at his text because high school is over and in the next three days, we'll be graduating.
I pushed the back door open and ran out. I saw his car parked at the back and I jumped into it.
"Hey babe" I cupped his cheek and pecked his lips.
He started the car and drove off. We basically spent the whole day playing around. We drove round the city with no actual destination.
We settled for a walk in the park.
"Someday, I'll like you to meet my grandma. She'll really like you" He raised my hand to his lips and placed a kiss on it.
"Where's she living? I'll actually love to meet her. I never actually had grandparents" I said
"Europe" He said
"I guess that'll have to wait" I said
"Wait for me, Maurice" I turned my head to the side and saw a guy chasing after a girl.
"You do realize that prom is in two days and you're not even asking me" The girl, Maurice said
"I'm sorry, I really like you a lot" He got down on one knee "Will you go to Prom with me?" He asked
The girl smiled and hugged him.
That was weird, somehow it's like the couple knew about our problem. Whoever they are, I really owe them because there's no way that this won't push Andrew to ask me.
"So pathetic, that guy is a total loser" Andrew said
"What?" I said
"I mean, that shit was so cheesy. What kind of a fool goes through such drama just for a dumb dance" He said
"I don't think it's dumb, infact, I don't think that it's cheesy"
"Come on, Jules, you can't possibly like such drama for a stupid dance. It's just a regular night with dumb music and a plastic crown. Come on, you don't want to be that cheesy girlfriend"
"Well excuse you if I want to be that cheesy girlfriend. What kind of lunatic doesn't know that girl's liked to be cared for? Even the little things matter. I'm such an idiot for wasting my time on you" I stormed off angrily
"Ju..Jules" He called out but I ignored him.
I slammed my front door and went straight to the kitchen. The helpers looked at me like I was crazy but I couldn't care less.
I slammed my room door just like the front one and hopped on my bed. I feel like we always carry out on frustration on poor doors and they can't say anything about it.
There was a knock on my door and Maddie's voice followed shortly after.
"Jules, you ok, in there?" She opened the door without even asking or anything.
"Do you ever go home?" I asked
"My mom's a buzz kill and my dad's a wet blanket so why would I stay at my house. I like it here"
"It's like you're married to Jace" I said
"Enough about me, how did it go?"
"How did what go?"
"Why are you playing dumb with me? How did he ask you?" She vibrated like a love struck teenager.
"I don't remember telling you anything about today so did you....Did you perhaps set up the couple at the park?"
"Urh.....maybe, Yes but only because Andrew is an idiot and I knew he wouldn't ask you. I figured that all he needed was a little push"
"It actually doesn't matter because it didn't work. He's an idiot, I'm an idiot, we're complicated and I can't just expect him to change for me"
"Don't say that, you've changed him. Andrew used to be a jerk and a bully but ever since he feel head over heels for you, it's like he's not the same person anymore. He stopped staying at the frat house just like your brother and he stopped going for parties. I can't remember the last time that I saw him hold a wine bottle" She said
"Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong. Can I please just be left alone?"
"Alright, if you need me, you know where to find me"
"Hopefully, not in Jace's pants" I said playfully
She gave me a wide smile before going out of my room.
