C H A P T E R 27

"So let me get this straight, you're back but you're not back? How does that even make any sense?" I don't understand a word Jace is saying.

"Yeah, I'm back and you can return as Julian but not completely as Julian"

"So you mean that I'm going to have to like keep playing for you" I said

"Exactly"

"Are you kidding me? How on Earth am I supposed to juggle playing in the championships with being myself? It was already so difficult being you now I have to add being me?"

He stood up and held my shoulders "Listen Julian, I'm sorry that I'm putting so much pressure on you. I feel like a jerk"

"No, it's ok. You really care about your team and that's all that matters. I'm proud that such a cool guy like you is my brother" I hugged him

"So you and Andrew huh?" He teased me.

"Shut up"

Being Jace made me realize what an amazing guy Andrew is. I still don't get why he's so mean to me but maybe I just need to talk to him.

I can't just show up and start talking about how I know he's great when I have been away for so long. I'm going to have to hang around him more.

For starters, I should transfer to their class. I mean, it is a lot of fun and they'll be really excited to see me.

Getting back into my Julian sure felt like a whole new thing to me. I decided to go witg sassy look and show up looking like a total bomb. I feel of my boot clicking on the floor coupled with my net long sleeve top and yellow leather skirt was enough to hear everyone's attention.

Walking halls that I walked down as Jace seemed different but when I saw Mr George giving me the stink eye from a corner, I knew that it is in fact still same old boring high school.

"Hey" "I love your outfit" "She's so hot" Everyone was waving at me and suddenly, I felt like a celebrity. In my head, I saw myself dressed in a really expensive and gorgeous dress catwalking down the hall while everyone else is a crazy pack of wild animals or as you like to call them, Paparazzi.

"Hey Darcey" She was going through her stuffs in her locker.

"Hey Julian" She said without looking up "Julian?" She finally looked at me

"In the flesh"

"But, you, Come with me" She held my hand and dragged me to a corner in the hall.

"Why are you back to being you? Hello, aren't you Jace anymore?" She said

"Didn't you receive my text? Oh right, I forgot to tell you that Jace landed yesterday and he's back" I said

"No wonder when I waved at you, I mean him, he gave me a weird look and went away" She said

"But I still have to play for him at the tournament"

"Great, I thought I have my best friend back but I guess I was wrong. So how did he take it when you told him that Andrew thinks he's gay and is in love with him?"

Oh shit, that totally slipped my mind.

"Good, he took like great because I haven't told him"

"You didn't tell him that you kissed Andrew?"

"Shh, don't say it out loud. I'm going to tell him soon ok" I said

"Alright, let's go to class"
