I KISSED ANDREW?
What on earth was I thinking? Why did I kiss him? Have I forgotten that I'm a guy? Oh shit.
I separated from him very quickly making it a short kiss.
"Whoa" Was all I could say.
"Did I just kiss you? Did I just kiss a guy? Holy shit, I kissed a guy" Andrew looked so confused.
I looked at him awkwardly and ran out. How am I gonna face him? Tomorrow is the last day before Championships start. Another day was added because of some minor issues.
Oh no, what is wrong with me? Now I've definitely finished Jace's life because Andrew already assumed that he's turning gay and I just had my first 'gay' kiss. To me, I'm a girl kissing a guy but to him, I'm gay.
What am I going to do?
I can't stay at this party anymore. I went out through the back door to avoid any question. I got into my car and drove as fast as I could.
"Why did you suddenly leave?" Darcey asked when I arrived home
"I couldn't stay, I did something I shouldn't have"
"Like What? Did you kiss Andrew?" She was only joking but she got it right.
"Actually, that's exactly what happened" She spat out her mouth full of Coke.
"Say what now? Did you just say you kissed Andrew?" She yelled
"Yes, I panicked ok?. We were in a dark closet and he was staring at me. I don't know what happened to me but I kissed him" I scratched my head
"Oh no, What are you going to do? He's gonna think that Jace is gay or something" She said
"I know, I'm going to have to tell Andrew"
"Tell him what? That you're Jace but you mistakenly kissed him or you're Julian and you're catching feelings for him. There's no way that you're going to talk to him that won't make him suspicious"
"So what do you suggest I do?"
"Do I have to figure out everything for you? Alright, talk to Maddie because at this rate, you need her to back you up or you'll get caught" She said
"Ok, I'll talk to her tomorrow"
Tomorrow is the tournament and I hope Jace comes back tomorrow to clear the air and set me free.
"Hey Whitney, Do you by any chance know where Maddie is?" I went up to Whitney to ask her where she was.
"Yeah, she's at the garden" She said without looking up.
I was on my way to the garden when I saw Andrew at the end of the hall. We locked eyes and I swallowed a deep breath and ran out. I won't be able to face him.
I spotted Maddie sitting on a bench while writing something down.
"Whatcha doing Mads?" I took a seat beside her
"Oh I'm just writing a roster and schedule for the cheerleading team" She said
"Can I talk to you about something?"
"Is it because of what I said to the guys? I'm sorry, I understand that there's a lot of pressure on you with the championships around the corner and Coach's pressure but I was selfish and said you don't have time for me. I know you're really trying hard and I was a hypocrite. You always...."
"Maddie stop, I can't do this anymore. I can't lie to you anymore"
"What are you lying about?"
"I am not really Jace" She looked at me in disbelief
"Yeah, I'm not really Maddie, I'm actually Ariana Grande" She burst into laughter
"No, this isn't funny, it's me Julian. I've been pretending to be Jace"
"And Why should I believe you?" I grabbed her hand dragged her to a secluded corner.
"I knew you wouldn't believe me, so" I took off my wig and showed her my cornrows.
"OM Gosh" She gripped the wall "It's really you Julian but how did you? Why did you?"
"Jace went for a surgery in Korea. He begged me to pretend to be him so that his team mates won't suffer"
"How are you as good at playing ball like him?"
"We played together as kids and basically we were trained together so our skills and abilities are as identical as our face"
Suddenly her facial expression changed.
"Wait, So you mean that when we kissed?" I nodded my head
"Holy shit" She cursed under her breath.
"Listen, I need your help because I may have messed up Jace's life"
"What did you do now?"
"I kissed Andrew"
"You what? I thought you hated him"
"I don't hate him, I just can't stand him but it was a mistake. I didn't mean to kiss him and now he probably thinks Jace is gay"
"Ok, just calm down and listen. There are two things that you can do. It's either you play along and pretend to be gay or tell him the truth"
"But Jace is going to be back like tomorrow"
"Oh then in that case, you just have to survive today then you'll tell him the truth later"
"You think that'll work?"
"Yeah"
"But I still can't believe that you can switch between your voice and Jace's"
"I have a skill in voice imitation"
"So you can imitate mine?" She asked
"So you can imitate mine" I imitated her voice
"Oh wow, you're so good" She clapped "Put on your wig before someone sees"
So I have Maddie on my side and Jace is coming back tomorrow. I have nothing to worry about.
