I don't know what's up with Reece but he's been acting kind of strange. Is that bratty little sister of his affecting him?
He's been less irritating and doesn't get on my nerves that much. There's a catch to his new behavior and I am going to find out what it is even if it takes me a long time. Actually, I have only one week left because the championships start next week.
We'll be too busy training for our match in a few weeks. I won't have time to find out what that Reece guy is up.
I'm not gonna lie, everywhere's so boring without that Reece girl. She normally pisses me off and makes me lose my mind but I like her trouble. It feels like Jace is acting a lot like Julian these days.
I feel different around him this days, it's like he's an entirely different person. He's been acting really strange and kind of likeable.
He wasn't always this annoying. We used to be friends, best friends to be precise. We did everything together and never left the other one hanging. We were like twins and a lot of guys envied us. During the time we were friends, I didn't even know he had a twin sister.
He suddenly left in our third year in middle school without saying a word to me. I tried to reach him but I couldn't. He came back in the first year of high school. I was ready to accept him back as my friend but then he did something unoriginal and I lost it.
From that day we became rivals and stopped seeing eye to eye. I lost my best friend as fast as I can lose a pair of socks. I was walking up to my locker when I saw Jace. He smiled at me and opened his locker.
Weird. He never smiles at people especially to me. He's been really strange like extremely strange.
"Hey, Am I the only one that noticed that Reece is acting really strange?" I asked the guys.
"Yeah, I noticed it too like the other day when we were watching the cheerleaders practice, he wasn't paying attention" Riley said
"Really? Jace wasn't paying attention? That's a free opportunity for him to see some nudity, How was he not paying attention?" I asked
"Yeah and he was wearing pink duck socks the other day and claimed it was to piss off Julian who we all know is in New Orleans" Derek said
"He did the exact same thing at my aunt's party. He wore pink socks and he hates the color pink" I added
"Maddie's also been complaining that he's not texting her like usual and they haven't like done any shit for a long time" Antonio took a bite out of his burrito.
"I gotta say, his playing seems kind of off. He's been using techniques that I've never seen him before and his victory dance is suprisingly not suckish" Rico said
"We have to find out what is wrong with him. Why don't we have a chat with him after school?" I suggested
"Sure" They said in unison.
We called Jace to the locker room after class was over.
"Why did you guys want to talk to me?" He asked when he came in and saw us seated in a circle.
"Here, have a seat" Rico pointed to a seat in the middle. He sat down and was giving us a suspicious look.
"I don't get, what's going on?" He asked when we kept on staring at him.
"You are what is going on" I said
"What does that even mean?" Riley asked me. I shrugged my shoulder and rubbed my chin trying to figure out why on Earth I said that.
"I'm gonna need you guys to use your words or am out of here" He said
"You are the problem Jace. What is wrong with you?" Derek asked
"I don't get it" He looked petrified. Jace Reece doesn't get scared especially of his teammates.
"Not getting aroused watching girls in very tiny clothing" Rico said
"Wearing the colour pink" Riley said
"Not kissing Maddie for over three weeks" Antonio said
"Not yelling and being a turd as always" Derek said
"So what's your point" He asked
"We've come to a conclusion that you're...."
"Loosing your mind" "Gay"
"What was that Andrew?" They all asked me
"Pink, not getting aroused, guys it's so obvious, Reece is turning gay" I said
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, Who said anything about being gay?" He asked
"Yeah Andrew, who said anything about being gay?" The guys asked me
"You guys can call me crazy but I know a gay guy when I see one" I said with confidence.
He must be gay, that is why he was so interested to know how I feel about gays at the party.
"I'm not gay ok, I'm straight. I love girls, I love Maddie" He said
"You love Me?" We turned around and saw Maddie and Whitney at the door.
