"So what was that I saw this morning? If I remember correctly, you were on your bed last time but suddenly, this morning, you're in Mr Gorgeous' arms" Darcey came into the dressing room.
"I have no idea what you're talking about" I said
"Face it, you've fallen for him and you want to be with him but you're still stuck with your feelings for Mr Pretty Face" She said
"Maybe you're right but you couldn't be more wrong so what do you say I do about all this?"
"My advice is that you should spend sometime with Andrew then check if he's worthy of your time, if he is then you'll spend time with Logan almost immediately and whoever you have fun with the most is your soulmate" She said
"Does your brain have like a filter button? You're smart sometimes but very slow witted" I said
"What a never unique way of thanking someone for their advice" She shot me a death glare.
"Darcey, Julian get in here, we have a meeting" Birdie yelled
We went back to the room to listen to my bratty older cousin.
"Ok guys, so we have to blend in and in order to blend in, we have to act normal. We don't have much days to spare so we need to begin. Darcey, you're going to be the crazy Traveller who can't shut up. You're going to fill the children's heads with so much tea about the amusement parks in this town. Glenna is going to have no choice but to take them after their rock climbing class. You have to make sure that they don't come back after the class" She instructed Darcey
"Alright, Birdie" She said
"Riley, we need your charisma. I heard that the CIT under Glenna is a teenager. She's the one who watches over the head office when Glenna is not around. You need to seduce her and lure her away from her post"
"I can work with that"
"So what do you have for Logan and I?" I asked
"You guys are going to break into her office and find as much evidence as you can get" She said
"What about you?" I asked
"I'll be on standby and be the hawk of this situation. Remember, be alert because just a rookie mistake can kill all of us" She said
"Way to put a lot of weight on our shoulders, Birdie" I rolled my eyes.
"You know me so well, the one thing I can't lie to someone or give you false hope. The earlier you start accepting the truth then the better for you" She said
Logan, Birdie and I waited for the signals to get started. We have three signals to be sent.
Darcey just sent the first signal because she has already left with Glenna and the children.
"Are you sure you brought a good boy to woo that girl because he's been talking to her for hours upon hours?" Birdie asked
"Don't worry, if there's anyone who can do this then it's Riley" I said
"Doesn't look that way" She murmured under her breath but I still managed to hear it.
"Look, it's the signal" Logan pointed to our falcon in the sky.
"Falcon, it's go time" I said
Riley left the back door open so we snuck into the office through it.
"Whoa, this must be why she guard's it so much because she doesn't want anyone to see all of this" I pointed to the interior of the office which looks more like an apartment.
It was richly decorated with expensive furniture. I gotta say, she's a really smart lady.
We looked around the apartment but there was nothing that could work in our favor.
"You guys, we've been searching for hours, there's no way that we're suddenly going to find something" I said
"I know, I'm tired"
"That painting is odd, there's a peeping girl at the end. If you don't look well, you won't see her" I said
"You're right"
"Focus, we didn't come here to look at paintings"
"Give it up, there's no way that we'll find anything" I said
"Move over Rookie" she pushed us aside and started feeling around the painting. She removed it from the wall and dropped it on the floor.
"I don't think..."
"Shut up" She cut me off.
She took off her sandals and turned it upside down. She opened the sole of the show and it was some kind of secret compartment.
"Whoa" All of this special agents and their cool gadgets.
She brought out a lipstick which was also a knife. She placed it in the corner where the two top ends of the frame meet. She pushed the edge up and brought out a key?
She hung the photo back and walked over to another side of the room. She pushed a table away from the wall and I saw a little key hole. She placed it in and turned it.
I heard the sound of locks clicking and the wall opened.
"Whoa, this is all so cool"
"This is gold" Birdie said when we got into the room. It was some kind of storage room for drugs. She brought out a small pen camera and took pictures of the room.
I saw some documents on the table and we ran through them, it was all of their business transactions and deals.
"We got the proof that we wanted. We can take her to jail now"
"I don't think so" We heard a voice from the other room.
