J U L I A N

What do you do when you kiss your brother's rival for the second time and you can't focus on your game?

"We've come this far and the championships are here again. We can't afford to lose this trophy again this year" Coach Kirk has been giving us a pep talk for the past half an hour.

"You guys have put in so much efforts. You have outdone yourselves and you've made me very impressed. Now, the time has come for you guys to make me proud. The time has come for The Lions to win this. Is everyone with me?" He yelled

"Yes, Players together, Lions forever" They yelled.

"I can't hear you" He yelled

"PLAYERS TOGETHER, LIONS FOREVER" We stood up and chanted.

"Alright, let's head out" We went out of the locker room in the stadium. Yes, the championships are held at a small stadium on the outskirts of our town

I have to call Jace.

"I'll catch up with you guys later, I gotta make a phone call" I excused myself from the group and went to the back of the stadium. I pulled out my phone and dialed his number. He wasn't picking up.

I tried multiple times but there was no response.

"Boo" I jumped up and nearly peed in my pants. That totally caught me by surprise. I turned around and came face to face with my idiotic brother.

"Don't do that" I hugged him"Seriously, you couldn't pick up your phone. When did you get back?" I grabbed his hand and pulled him aside.

"I got here about ten minutes ago and I've been over there watching you break down" He pointed to a snack shack.

"You're the worst but I'm glad you're back in time. I brought your other uniform because this one won't fit you anymore. Go get changed so that my life can go back to normal"

"About that, I can't really explain much but I can't play"

"Why not?"

"If I play, it'll cause shortness of breath and I can't have that or else it can serve as a threat to my health. I'm not fully recovered, it will take some time to get to normal"

What on Earth?

"So you're saying that I'm gonna have to keep being you?" I yelled

"Calm down, you'll probably just help me out for the championships then you can stop"

"And you? What are you going to do? I have to return from 'New Orleans' You know" I said

"You'll have to juggle being the both of us. Listen, you have to go play. I'm going home, we'll talk after your game" He hugged me and pecked my cheek.

Oh my gosh, this is going to be much more difficult than I could have ever imagined.

I held my helmet under my arm and went to meet the others on the field. I stood in between Andrew and Riley.

After we recited the national anthem, we put on our helmets. I was having difficulty putting on my gear. I'm guessing it's because of all the tension that I was feeling.

"Here, let me help you" Andrew held my hand and pulled me to him. He positioned my helmet well and helped me with my elbow pads.

"Thank you"

"No need to, What are bros for? Anyways, good luck" We shook hands.

I stayed in my position and took a deep breath. Ok, this is it, don't mess this up.

I closed my eyes and inhaled and exhaled deeply. The whistle blew and I opened my eyes and played like a champ.

Winning was so easy. We barely spent up to ten minutes into the game.

"Hey, I was wondering if you'd like to hang out with the guys and I" Andrew asked when we got back to the locker room.

"I can't, Ja...Julian is back home and I have to go meet her" I said

"Really? Is she really back?" For someone who hates me, he was smiling so very happily.

"Why would I say she's back if she isn't?"

"Ok then, I guess I'll see you tomorrow" He smiled at me before walking out.

Well, at least I don't have to wear this three to four inches sole shoes. They're specially customized for me. You see, the sole has a nice feature, it can change according to whatever height you input. Since I'm actually a tall girl, it makes it blend well.

Alright, off to Jace.
