"Riley, you're supposed to say 'What kind of species passed this same road' Is it really that hard to get such a simple line?" I yelled
"Someone's Cranky" He said
"Well, I won't be if you get your stupid line right" I said
I went backstage to grab a glass of water.
"Whoa, you're in a really bad mood. Who hurt you?" Someone said
I turned around and saw Logan standing behind me.
"Nothing, it's just that the play is tomorrow night and we're not done with the rehearsals" I said
"Why don't you just relax and trust us? We've got this, everyone is willing to stay past their curfew just to nail this. Stop being hard on them" He said
"Thank you, you're an awesome friend" I hugged him and it seemed like he wasn't really hugging me back so I attempted to unlaced myself from his hold but he held me before I could.
I went back on stage and apologized for being grumpy. We resumed our rehearsals and everyone wasn't getting on my nerves again.
My only fear is the final scene of the play. I initially planned for there to be a kiss scene and for there to be a happy ending but Nirvana insisted that it's highly impossible for there to be a happy ending.
I'm just scared that not everyone would like the fact that Gia passes away. However, everyone else seemed to be cool with her death.
"I have to say, you've really outdone yourself, Jules" A familiar voice caught my attention.
"Jace?" I saw him sitting on one of the chairs "What are you doing here?"
"I just thought I'd stop by and see how things are going. Also, I have to make my anonymous donation" He pulled out a couple of a hundred dollars and placed into the donation bin.
"I told you that it's not anonymous if we know that you sent it" I said
My phone beeped in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw that it was from the bank. Apparently, someone just made an anonymous donation of five thousand dollars.
"Jace, did you really just send me five grand?" I asked
"No, I'm standing here, why can't I just give it to you?"
"I mean, no one else knows. I wonder who could have done this" I rubbed my chin as I thought of a possible candidate.
As I was thinking, the theatre doors swung open and Aunt Bonnie came in.
"Aunt Bonnie? Did you do this?" I showed her the message.
"Well, I guess it's no longer anonymous" She smiled at me.
"Oh my God, thank you so much" I hugged her.
"I feel like you're going to break my spine if you keep hugging me like that" She chuckled
"I love you"
"Oh, sweetie, I love you too. This place is really amazing. Anyways, Jace and I are going out, Wanna come?" She asked
"I would love to but I need to be here" I pointed to the crew
"It's ok, you can go have fun. I'll take it from here" Nirvana said
"If my female lead is not here then I'm not needed, right?" Logan asked
"Sure, pretty boy" Darcey said
Logan placed his hand around my shoulder and I could already feel Jace's eyeballs boring holes on us.
"Julian, Who's this?" He asked looking at Logan's arm around my shoulder.
"He's my friend and a cast of this play"
"And why haven't I met this so called 'Friend' before?"
"Will you stop being such a dad and give the girl a break?" Maddie said from the stage
"Daddy, huh?" Jace raised his eyebrows and smirked at her. She winked at him and I started to wonder what actually goes on in Jace's bedroom.
"Am I the only one seeing such nasty display?" I asked
"Unfortunately, not" Whitney said
I gotta say, she's been less of a bitch and more of a girl. I feel like something's disturbing her but she's too afraid to let anybody in.
Aunt Bonnie's phone started ringing. She pulled it out and went aside to receive the call. I started talking about random stuffs with Logan while observing a very frustrated Aunt Bonnie.
She ended the call and came back to meet us. The look on her face was obvious that she just received bad news.
"What's wrong?" I asked her
"Yeah, you look so worried" Jace said
"Julian, Jace, it's your dad, he fainted"
"What?" We both said in Unison.
"I don't really know what happened but he's in his hospital so let's go" She said
I picked up my jacket and ran as fast as I could. On my way to the hospital, I was really scared. Even though he hasn't been the best dad, I don't want to die, at least not like this.
Tears formed in my eyes as I read his name off the wall. I push the door gently and saw my dad lying on the bed with so much wires connected to him.
My mom was holding his hand and she was in tears.
"Mom, Will he be ok?" I asked her
"I don't know?" She got up and walked out of the room.
"Dad, dad, I know you can hear me. If you can hear me, show me a sign" I said
"He's unconscious, Miss. He might be able to hear you but he won't be able to answer you or..." The doctor said
"He moved his hand, doctor, he answered me" I cut him off
"I love you ok? I know that you were never there for us but I still loved you. I still do so please, don't leave me like this. I'll wait for you to wake up just like I used to wait for you when we were little. Jace, Aunt Bonnie, Why isn't he standing up and telling me that it's ok?" I asked them
"Jules, Jules, just calm down" Jace held my shoulders "Everything will be ok"
"No, dad isn't fine, he can't just faint all of a sudden. We didn't even care about the fact that he came home to spend time with us. We're really terrible children" I burst into tears
"It's ok, he'll be fine" Aunt Bonnie rubbed my arm. "He'll be fine right?" She asked the doctor
"Yes, of course" He said
