C H A P T E R 97

I know that I should have gone home as soon as I landed in North Carolina but my feet, my traitorous feet pulled me to the last place I expected to go to.

I pressed the doorbell multiple times waiting for a reply but there was none. What was I thinking coming here?

I was about to leave when the door swung open.

"Julian? I thought you were in Wisconsin" Logan said

"I was but I'm here now" I sniffed

"Are you crying?" He looked at my face and touched my tear stained cheeks.

"No... I" I burst into tears

"Julian, it's going to be ok" He hugged me and patted my back. He pulled me into his house and hugged me tightly.

"Please, just hold me and don't let me go" I squeezed him

"I won't, I'll never let you go" He held me so close to his chest that I could feel and hear his fast and slow heartbeat.

After hours of holding me in his arms, he pulled away from me. He held my arm and stared into my eyes intensely.

"I don't know who hurt you or why they did but they're really stupid. I can't imagine anyone hurting someone like you. You're so beautiful and drives me crazy that I cannot hold you"

I don't know why but his words penetrated through my heart and made my stomach do the flips. I started feeling a weird sensation in the pits of my stomach.

"I know that I have to be patient and if I love you then I won't push you but it....."

I couldn't hold it in anymore. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down to my level. I placed my lips on his and felt electricity run through my spine.

His lips felt soft and calm against mine. It's nothing compared to Andrew's own but it's enough to drive me crazy.

I pulled away from him and stared into his demanding eyes.

"That was... I've got to do it again" He pulled me towards him and kissed me intensely.

His tongue wrestled with mine and he sucked on my lips. He pulled me up and wrapped my legs around his waist.

He kicked his room door open and I started having second thoughts when my back hit his soft bed. He pulled away from me and grabbed the Hem of my shirt. He was about to take it off when I grabbed his hand.

"Don't you think that all of this going way too fast?" I said

"What do you mean?" He asked

"It's just, I think that it's way too early for all of this" I pushed him aside and hopped down from his bed.

"Alright, I'm sorry but please don't go. I want to hold you in my arms all night long" He pleaded

I took a deep breath and nodded my head. I hopped into his bed and fell asleep in his arms. I don't know what it is I feel for Logan but I do know that I like being with him.

I went home and dropped all of my stuffs. I freshened up and went to the store. I know that I missed the party but I still have my job, right?

Of course I do, I'm the only reason why that store didn't close down. I mean sure I didn't do everything by myself but if I wasn't there, God knows what would have happened.

"Hi, guys" I walked into the store and saw almost all of my girlfriends in the store. It was packed and had the definition of a true Seraphine store.

"Jules" Darcey hugged me

"When did you get back?" Whitney asked

"Yesterday but I stayed at a hotel because I was tired so I didn't call anyone" I said

"You missed the party. It was epic and there were drinks and alcohol and a horse and a floaties and.." Jolene said

"You don't need to rub your fun in my face" I said

"So how was Andrew?" Nirvana asked

"Andrew? Why would I know how he is? It's not like I went to visit me" I placed my hand over my mouth.

"Yeah, no one's buying that. You suddenly left after everything was fixed with the excuse of 'Clearing your head'. You and I both know that the only clearing that you did was to clear your sexual tension" Maddie smirked at me.

"You guys are insane" I smiled at my friends.

"Julian?" Gladys came up to me.

"Yes, Gladys" I turned towards her and smiled at her.

"I know that I didn't warm up to you especially on your first day. I didn't realize what an amazing person you are. I'm sorry that I acted like a jerk but you saved me, you saved my store and I'm grateful. So, I got you a little something" She pulled out a box

"For me?" She nodded and placed it in hands. I pulled the ribbon and unwrapped the present.

I gasped when I saw a golden name tag with my name on it.

"Oh my God, the one thing you don't give people" I smiled

"You are one of my most valuable workers and even though you were only a volunteer, you accomplished goals that even my actual workers never could"

"That's so sweet" I hugged her.

She was shocked by my sudden action. It took a few minutes to register what was going on and hug me back.

I pulled away from her and placed my gift in my clutch. I went back to my friends and we helped out with the store.

I enjoyed the view of customers shopping for clothes. Sometimes, you don't get what you want but the ones around you will always have a way to bring you happiness.
