J U L I A N
Is this supposed to be fate? Why do I keep crossing paths with my handsome stranger?
"Do you need a hand with your car?" He flashed me a billion dollar smile. I hate that he's so good looking.
"Urh, no, I got this" I don't got this
"It doesn't look that way from over here" He said
"You're... you're right. This is so awkward, can we just start over again?"
"Like act like we haven't met or I haven't touched somewhere before" He winked at me
"Oh gosh, I think I'm gonna die of embarrassment"
"Logan" He said
"Oh, I'm Julie...Julia... Julienne" Grrh, what is wrong with me?
"Ok?" He cleared his throat.
"Sorry, I'm Julian" I pushed my hair behind my ear.
"Do I make you feel uncomfortable or are you shy?" He said
"That obvious?" My cheeks are literally as red as a tomato.
"Why? If there's anyone who should get flustered, it's me"
"And why is that?"
"Well, it's not everyday that you see such a pretty girl who happens to be a damsel in distress"
Remember when I said my cheeks were as red as a tomato, it's even more red if that's even possible.
"Do you need a hand or do you still got this?" He asked
"You bet your sea shells I do" Regret immediately slapped me in the face as I realized what I just said.
"Did you really just say that?"
"Yes and I would appreciate it if you forget that I just said that" I said
"Back to the same question, Do you need a hand?"
"I know you've asked me that twice and I said I do but I really don't got this"
"Yeah, I figured" He went over to my car and looked at it for a while. He pulled out his phone and made a call.
"So? What's wrong?"
"I'm not exactly a car expert. I just wanted to impress you and all that. I placed a call to a repair shop. They'll come pick it up and you car will be good as new in a few days" He said
"That's great but how will I get home? The bus that takes my route left like an hour ago"
He smiled and placed his hand in his pocket and pulled out a bunch of keys. He flaunted a car key to me.
"In case you haven't noticed baby doll, I own a car"
"Baby doll?"
"Everyone deserves a nickname right? I'll give you a better one along the line but for now, deal with Baby doll"
I smiled at him and hoped into his car. He parked in front of my gate. I make an attempt to open the door but then I stop to thank him.
"Thank you for today" I said
"So what? I'm going to get your car repaired and then we'll go our separate ways. I think you can agree with me that three times in a row is not a coincidence but rather fate"
I burst into laughter "You actually believe in all of this fate shit"
"No, but my Nona does and she says that if you meet a person more than two times then you should buy them a coffee"
"I don't really take coffee"
"Then how about some ice cream whenever you're ready,my treat?"
"Alright, this weekend"
"Come on, I'll give you a ride home" I smiled at him and followed him to where his car was parked.
I got in and told him the name of the street before mine. I'm not an idiot, I've seen this happen a lot in movies. He'll seem nice and sweet then you'll show him your house and every night, you'll see a black van in front of your house. One day, you'll be home alone then he'll come in and kill you.
"You can drop me off here" I said as soon as we reached the intersection before my neighborhood.
"Are you sure? How many blocks is your house from here?"
"A few, it's not much, I think I can manage" I opened the door and came out of the car.
"I'll see you soon, Julian"
"You too Logan"
I watched his car drive away before I turned around and started walking home. My phone beeped in my bag and I pulled it out.
It was a text message from Andrew.
Hey, Angel eyes, sorry that I couldn't call again yesterday, something came up. Facetime, all night?
I smiled at his text and replied him a yes. A part of me can't help but feel like there's more to this that he's letting me in on. He's been acting really strange and I know it's a little bit too early for that but something is definitely up with him.
As we agreed, we stayed up all night talking. I told him about Logan helping me and all that. He seemed kind of jealous but I assured him that we weren't even friends yet so he has nothing to worry about.
My suspicions were once again confirmed when I heard a feminine voice in the background call out his name and he ended the call almost immediately.
I could be wrong, it could be one of the trainers calling him for training. If they train at eleven in the night then that boot camp is either an excuse for a military camp or a psychotic camp.
I went to bed wandering what the heck is up with Andrew and thinking of my handsome Stranger.
