J U L I A N
I don't know whether I should wear my hair up or down. I need to make my decision because the girls are going to the salon.
"Are you coming with?" Darcey asked
"Yes but I don't know if I should style my hair up or down" I said
"Are you insane? Why would you put those gorgeous locks up?" Maddie asked
"I'm flattered but I still think a bun would spell me" I said
"Don't worry, Carly is a celebrity stylist. She's internet famous and so she's really good. You don't need to have a look in mind because she'll be the one picking out your look" Jolene said
"Alright, if you say so"
The salon was a little bit far from my house so it gave me all the time that I needed to think about my future. After today, high school is over for me and College falls right in.
What exactly do I want to do?
I know I'm going to be majoring in Literature and English because I love books but I think that I'll really like to be an actress and a movie director.
I was planning to give Andrew's admission letter to him as a congratulations on your graduation gift but it looks like we're ending senior year while at war.
I think I'll give it to his mom, she'll know how to give him because I'm not going to do it.
We arrived at the salon and I was impressed by the rich interior of a salon. She's definitely filthy rich.
"Hi, Carly" Jolene did that weird cheek kiss with her.
"Jolene, my favorite" She's really pretty for a woman who looks like she's in her mid forties. She has a really rich blonde hair color and her skin is literally gleaming.
I feel like an ugly piece of shit next to her.
"Carly, this are my friends. You've met Maddie before but you haven't met Darcey and Julian" She pointed at us
"Hello and welcome to Carly's Den" She kept looking at me in a strange way.
"Why's she looking at me like that?" I whispered to Jolene
"I think she likes you and she can see through you and she's probably projecting your new look" she said
"Boys, am I right? So stupid. I'll whip you up with a new look that will have him crawling on his feet for you to take him back" She grabbed my hand and pulled me along.
"How did she do that?" I mouthed to the girls
"That's the way she is" Jolene mouthed back
I'm currently staring at my reflection and it honestly feels like my eyeballs are lying to me because for some reason, my hair looks so glossy and smooth.
She curled the hair from the middle to the end and straightened the top. She sprinkled a little bit of glitter to compliment the shiny look and I honestly felt like eating my own hair.
"You truly are amazing" I said
"Thanks dear, they don't call me queen of hairdos for nothing" She flipped her hair
"How did you manage to pull this off in a very short period of time?" I said
"What do you mean by that? Don't you know that it's been over four hours?" She said
Four hours? I pulled out my phone and looked at the time. Shit, it's five in the evening.
"Thank you so much for this hair but I have to go somewhere" I got up and ran out of the salon.
I rushed over to Andrew's house and knocked on the door. I waited for about ten minutes but there was no reply. I decided to put the mail in their mail box and rushed back home to get ready.
I arrived home at exactly six. Oh no, I have only an hour to get ready. I slammed my bathroom door and quickly stripped down and tied my hair in a water resistant bag. I know the bathing is not necessary and since I don't have much time then I should skip it but I'm not going to prom smelling like an onion.
There was a knock on my door and I quickly tied myself with my robe. I opened the door and saw Jace standing in front of the door.
"Can you come tease me or annoy me later because I have a lot of things to do?" I moved over to my mirror and started my makeup.
"Alright, I'll just set this down here" He dropped a shopping bag on my bed.
"What's that?" I turned around and looked at the bag. I read the name on the bag and I gasped. Oh no, he wouldn't, would he?
I brought out a white and gold box and my heart warmed at the sight of the same dress that I feel in love with.
"How is this here? Don't tell me that you bought it? You're joking right?" I saw a gorgeous transparent red heel and an expensive looking perfume in the box too.
"Julian, you deserve the best in this world and I love you and the way you are but this is your last school dance as a fucking teenager so are you gonna be a whiz or are you gonna be a true Reece? By the way, you can totally return the dress if you want to be a loser" He kissed my forehead and left.
I stared at the dress and smiled to myself.
There's no damn way that I ain't wearing this dress.
