Chapter 42 Stalk

"Hey,i have a favor."Bungad ni Yuqi habang nasa steering wheel ng sasakyan niyan.Kasabay ko na naman siyang pumasok papunta ng university.

I placed my blue Jansport backpack on my lap before closing the door.I looked at him with curiosity."What is it??"Tanong ko nang magstart na ang engine ng sasakyan.

"Well..."He cleared his throat then started driving his car."I will attend a friend's birthday tomorrow night,i was hoping you can come with me."He completed his sentence.

"Wait why are you dragging me again?"

"Hindi ah,i just need someone.Kakanta kasi ako,you know magpeperform."Wika niya na parang maliit lang na bagay ang request niya.

Well oo para sa kaniya ganun lang yun,but for me hindi.Naiimagine ko palang na magpapaalam ako kay Mama at kuya sumusuko nako.

Kung si Tito papayag pa,yung dalawa ewan ko nalang.I sighed at that thought."Awee please Ambrielle??Kahit ngayon lang,i want to experience partying with you eh."Ngumuso at nagpaawa siya.

"Party??"

"Birthday,matic nayun.So please?Party tayo bago magstart research natin for our defense.Sigii naaaa."Pagpupumilit pa niya.

"I would love too but—"

"YAYYY!!"Masayang sabi niya and beeped his car three times.Nairita ako bigla sa ginawa niya.

"Hindi ko alam kung papayagan ako Yuqi."Namomroblemang sabi ko sa kaniya.

He chuckled."Come on,edi magdadahilan ako.I got your back."He winked at me.

My eyebrows furrowed."But how??"

"Lets say na magsleep over ka again sa condo ko for our report.Just like last time."

"That's bad Yuqi."Nanlaki pa ang mga mata ko.I think thats not a good alibi,its too horrible for me."And you think hindi malalaman ni Kuya Argust?"Tanong ko pa.

"At sino ang magsasabi?Prof Morgan?Edi sabihin natin para sa ibang Prof yung report."His eyebrows raised two times after that.Hindi ko maiwasang tignan siya na hindi makapaniwala sa mga alibis niya.

"Come on,isang beses lang naman.And duh,graduating kana you need to loosen up for a bit.Break the rules,kahit isang beses lang."Litanya niya.

In the end i said yes,tuwang tuwa naman siya.Hindi rin naman masama kung magsaya ako kahit sa isang beses lang ng schooling days ko,puro nako aral eh.

Kung malalasing man,hindi naman ako mabubuntis sa ayos lang.

Wait why did i think about that?

I stopped spacing out nang magvibrate ang phone ko.I grabbed it from my jean's pocket at tinignan ang isang notification.

Jao Tobi sent you a friend request.

"Oh my god."Bulalas ko sa gulat.

"Watwatwat??What is that?"Mabilis na tanong ni Yuqi na nagmamaneho.Sumilip pa siya sa phone ko na inilayo ko naman.

"Hey youre driving!!My goodness!!"Asik ko pa.

"Oh shit,sorry."Natawa siya sa sigaw ko."Ano ba yan ha?Gay porn ad??"Tanong niya.

"Yuqi what the hell?"Naiinis kong tanong sa kaniya na tinawanan lang ulit niya.Hindi na siya nagtanong after nun kaya muli kong sinipat ang phone ko.

I bit my lip when i opened my facebook at pinindot ang friend request icon.His profile was there so i automatically stalked him.

I held my breathe when i looked at his profile picture.Nasa isang party siya habang nakasuot ng black jeans at black and white floral polo.

Nakaupo siya sa isang stall ng bar island.His legs were slightly opened habang hawak hawak niya ang isang shotglass.Seryoso lang siyang nakatingin sa lente ng camera,he looks ruthless and at the same time hot.

Semi-shaved parin ang style nang buhok niya,kapansin pansin din ang malaking tattoo na bumabalot kanang braso niya.Gaya nga ng sinabi ko,his body became more ripped and bigger than the last time i saw him.

Was it 3 years ago?

I pouted nung iisa lang ang profile picture niya.Ang cover niya picture naman niya isang sunset,kinuha yata ito habang nasa taas  ng building.The view was enticing,its a good shot.

That was his bio.Wala siyang photos or maybe...lalabas kapag na-accept kona siya.Kinakabahan akong nagtap sa screen at napipikit.

I opened my eyes at aksidenteng na delete ang friend request niya.My eyes widened."No!!"Gulat na singhal ko sa phone ko.

"Hey whats wrong??"

"Don't mind me,keep driving."I sounded mad but  he just chuckled.Ngayon ay nagsisisi ako bakit ako pumikit kanina.Damn,sayang yun!

I heaved a sigh to gather my fighting spirit before tapping the add button."God."I breathed out after that.

Jao Tobi accepted your friend request.

"Oh my god!!"Hinampas ko sa balikat si Yuqi sa tuwa at gulat."Oh my god,oh my god."Paulit ulit na bulong ko habang nakatingin sa notification.

"Hoy,ayos ka lang?Nabaliw kana ba?"

"J-just excited."I lied at him bago umayos na ng upo saka kumalma."Breathe Ambrielle,breathe."Bulong ko pa sa sarili.

"Same ,i can't wait tomorrow night!!"

Hindi ko muna pinansin si Yuqi para mastalk si Jao.Siguro to catch up kung anong mga nangyari sa kaniya.Just curios.

Unfortunately,wala talagang photos but i went to his ig account na nakalinked sa facebook niya.I opened my personal account bukod dun sa account ko na pang-arts and painting related lang.

Wow he's famous.Malapit naring mag 1m mga followers niya.He's like a celebrity.

I scrolled down at halos photography ang mga posts niya.But i saw some photos of him na nasa beach,yacht,bar and i think inside his office.

I clicked his story to view it.

Picture lang din ng sunset,i tapped the screen again.The last one is a mug of coffee with a pile of paperworks.

Morning.

That was the caption.

He looks like a professional and exclusive.I think he matured well at marami na ang naabot sa buhay.

I slided my phone on my jeans at lumingon sa labas ng bintana.Someday,magiging succesful din ako.With my own art and profession,with my new life and happy family.

But now,tiis tiis muna.Malapit naring mag graduate.Isipin ko muna yung birthday party na sinasabi ni Yuqi.
