Chapter 71 He

I am adopted.

They just took me from an orphanage and i am not my Dad and Mom's son.Should i really call them that??Mom and Dad??I don't know anymore.

Mom couldn't bear a son and that's why they adopted me.It was a secret between the two of them and so when the time comes,i'll be the Head of our family.

So should i be thankful or mad??I don't know.

Finally ,i was able to  answer the question lingering in the depths of my mind.The special treatment i receive,the favor of my Father and the expensive clothes and gifts they gave me.

Now i know why they pour me such things.

I was not a part of this Household in the firstplace.I am a living disgrace of our entire family and a stain to my father's name.

It was a week after i found out and Dad explained everything to me.He talked to me but  i couldn't hear anything from him.It's as if my ears are sealed and my mouth is closed.

Ngayon ay nasa Master's office kaming lahat.Tahimik lang akong nakaupo sa sofa habang katabi sina Ate Jacquelynn at Mom.

Sa kanang sofa ay ang pamilya ni Aunt Olthes.He's my Dad's only sister and beside her was the young Akiro.She's a professional Doctor and her husband was a Pilot but sadly, Uncle Riley died.

It was plane crash and he didn't survived.Now she only has Akiro.

Sa kaliwang sofa naman ay nakaupo ang bunsong kapatid nila na si Uncle Odin.He doesn't have his own family yet because of his busy profession,he's an Attorney.

Katabi niya si Jahara na nakahulikipkip at kunot noong nagtama ang paningin namin.Seryoso at blangkong nagtitigan kaming dalawa hanggang sa ako na ang bumitaw.

Matunog siyang bumuntong hininga at tumitig nalang ako sa round glass table.Ang nakakabinging katahimikan na bumabalot sa opisina ni Dad ay naibsan nang magsalita si Akiro.

"It's boring here,i wanna play."

Tumalon siya mula sa sofa at ngumisi sa akin.I granted him the usual grin i make.He asked me to play with him but i declined.

"We need to talk about something my Dear,play with your maids instead."Istriktang sabi ng Mommy niya at pinitik ang mga daliri.

Nagsipasok naman ang mga personal ni maids ni Akiro at sabay sabay silang lumabas ng opisina kasama ang bata.Hindi rin nakaligtas ang pag-ngiwi ni Aunt Olthes sa akin bago lingunin si Dad na nakaupo sa sofa na kaharap namin.

"You have deceive us all Brother."Panimula ni Aunt Olthes."And now looks who's paying the price??"Tanong niya at umiling iling.

"I already talked to my son, Olthes—"

"He's not your son."Uncle Odin cut him off.Naramdaman ko naman ang paghawak ni Mom sa balikat ko at hinaplos haplos ito.

Sumama ang mukha ni Dad at nilingon ang bunsong kapatid."He's my son."Mariin na wika ni Dad.

"I'm not talking about him."Umirap si Aunt Olthes."I am talking about our family,do you even realize what you just did??"Tanong muli niya kay Dad.

Bumuntong hininga si Dad at hinawakan ang ilong niya.Pumikit ito at kalaunang tumango kay Aunt Olthes.

"You dragged your own name and our entire family!!"Tumaas ang boses nito at mabilis na tumingin sa akin."Now the seed of your disgrace  has grown."Makahulugang sabi niya.

My jaw clenched.Disgrace huh?

"We understand your mad at us."Mahinang sabat ni Mom sa usapan ng tatlo."But Jao..."She glanced at me before she continued.

"Jao is my son.The moment Ozin and i laid our eyes to him,i knew he's the boy i would want and this family will need."Dagdag ni Mom.

"The problem is,not even single drop of a Dragon's blood flows through his veins."Sabat ni Uncle Odin."We don't even know why kind of blood he has."Ngumiwi siya.

"Odin."Nambabantang asik ni Dad sa kaniya.

"You made the biggest mistake in our family brother,panindigan mo ang ginawa mo."Singhal sa kaniya nang bunsong kapatid.

"So what's the point of calling us all here??"Tanong ni Jahara."To argue about it??Ang ipamukha sa kaniya na ampon siya??"Dagadag na tanong niya.

Jahara's word were like invisible daggers that pierced through my chest.I clenched my fist and silently gulped.

"Jahara."Sambit ni Ate Jacquelynn.

"Oh you're here??"Sarkastikong tanong ni Jahara sa kaniya at umaktong natutop ang bibig."He's not our brother,he's a adopted so what's the deal??"

"Y'll just argue and won't do somethin??"

"Jahara!!"Tumaas ang boses ni Ate Jacquelynn.Jahara just chuckled and looked amuse.

She constanly changed and Alira was right,she's not the same sister i knew...

"This is not a joke."Mariin na wika ni Ate Jacquelynn."Didn't you know how to respect or did you forgot how to do it??"

"Do you really have say that??You're just pissed."Jahara rolled her eyes.

"Don't fight."

Pigil ko sa kanilang daliwa.Tuminginnaman sila sa akin na seryosong pinagmasdan sila."Just don't."Wika ko.

"Let them settle this,it's out of our hands."Kalmadong wika ni Ate Jacquelynn at inilingan nalang si Jahara.

"Jacquelynn is right."Isang pamilyar na boses ang nagsalita.

Mabilis kaming tumingin sa pinto at bumungad si Lolo na seryosong nakatingin sa aming lahat.Sabay sabay kaming tumayo at magalang na yumuko sa kaniya.

"Anata wa chichi ni tōchaku shimashita."

"Konbanwa ojīchan."

Sabay sabay naming bati sa kaniya bago umayos ng tayo.Sa likod niya ay ang malalaking tao na nakasuot ng itim na Yukata habang si Lolo naman ay nakasuoat ng pinaghalong puti at kulay abong Yukata.

Inalalayan siya ni Uncle Odin na maupo ngunit marahan niyang tinaboy ang mga kamag nito.Grandp slowly walked towards Dad at unti unting yumuko naman si Dad nang huminto sa harap niya si Lolo.

"Gomen'nasai chichiyo, watashi wa anata ni shippai shimashita."

Dad sincerely apologized but Lolo remained silent while wearing his poker face.Suddenly,he gave him a warm smile and tapped his back.

"You didn't failed me Ozin."Grandpa stated and i quickly looked at him with surprise.He then looked at and chuckled.

"You knew??"Tanong ko sa kaniya.

"Mmmm."Nakangiting tumango siya at nilingon kaming lahat."I have come here to speak and end this discussion."Seryosong sabi niya sa lahat.

"Jao will not be the Head of our Family."

Bumagsak ang dalawang balikat ni Dad sa naging pasya ni Lolo.Agad naman naming inalo ni Ate Jacquelynn si Mom na nagsimulang umiyak.

Matunog namang bumuntong hininga si Auntie at Uncle at umiling iling."But Jao will remain a Tobito."Grandpa added at tumingin sa akin.

"He will always be a Tobito and a part of this family."
