Ayann's POV

10 years later...

10 years have been past and I must say that I'm already healed.  Unti-unti ko na ding nakalimutan ang mga masasamang nangyari sa akin at napalitan ng mga magagandang memories.

Living alone in New York was really hard especially for me since I'm just 16 that time but as the time goes by nakapag adjust din ako. I've met different people. I've met many friends but few of them stayed. And luckily ang isa ay pinoy na nagmigrate na dito and naging katrabaho ko pa sa isang publishing company.

"Are you really leaving tomorrow, Ayann?" Jamie asked. She's the friend that I'm talking about.

"Yeah. I already told you since last week Jamie" I rolled my eyes on her.

Andito kami sa isang restobar and we're having a despedida party since tomorrow uuwi na ako ng Pinas,finally.

"Are you staying there for good?"

"I don't know,maybe? Since our family have business there"

"I'm gonna miss you girl" madramang sabi niya. Hindi ko tuloy maiwasang mamiss ang mga kaibigan ko sa Pinas dahil sa kanya.

Wala akong masyadong balita sa kanila since we're not talking to each ever since I moved here but thanks to social media, kahit papaano alam ko na ang nangyari sa kanila.

Jim and Jin are both successful transwoman. Yeah, they transition beautifully. Wala nang bakas ng pagkalalaki sa kambal. They are both known photographers and they both owned a studio managed by their boyfriends, AJ and JJ. Oh di'ba? Who would have thought that they will be together?

Kyla is a well known director now in the Philippines. Marami na siyang blockbuster movie locally and internationally. May napanood pa nga akong movie nya last year na nagshowing here in New York.

Kate is a known fashion designer and model in Philippines. She also act and I must say ang galing nya pa ding umarte. At least may napuntahan ang pagiging maarte niya.

While Sky and Kheean are still together. More than 10 years na sila and they are both managing a restaurant. How I miss them...

"Hey cut the drama. By the way where's Robert" tanong ko. Robert is her boyfriend since we we're in college.

"He's busy on his work but don't worry he'll come with me tomorrow to bring you in airport"

"That's good. At least I have someone who will carry my luggages"

"Hey, you're mean"

"I know Jamie. Cheers!!!"

We stay for another hour in the restobar before we decided to part ways. I took a shower as soon as I arrived in my apartment.  Etong apartment na ito ang naging companion ko noong mga panahong nagheheal ako.

Humiga na ako sa kama ko. I put my laptop and turned it on. I was checking my files when a video call invitation poped up. Nang makita kong galing ito kay mama, agad ko itong sinagot.

"Hi Ayann" bati niya.

"Hi ma. Kamusta na?" tanong ko.

"Eto excited na. Finally uuwi ka na bukas" excited na sabi niya.

"Hindi ka naman masyadong excited ma di'ba?"

"Hindi naman. May mas excited pa nga sa akin eh. Yung papa mo"

"By the way how is he?"

"Ah yun medyo busy. By the way sila Abraham at Jeremiah pala susundo sa iyo ah. Excited na yung dalawang yun lalo na si Jeremiah. Lalo na't birthday nun bukas at may party ata. Almost 5 years ago na din nung nagsama kayo"
