Cedric closed his eyes and muttered another word, imbued with magical power. Eris' wounds further closed. Then, he stepped forward. A flame appeared above his hand, and it flew at the heavily wounded warrior who was fighting Zerai. The flame hit them in the side of their neck, and they screamed in agony as their head was almost burned off.
Eris retrieved their dagger from the body of the beheaded woman before slipping back into the shadows.
Zerai turned his attention to his only remaining assailant. He swung it around him and into the assailant's arm, leaving the arm dangling and useless. Then, Zerai swung around again but his second strike was easily deflected by the adrenaline filled warrior.
Ella took a deep breath, and reaffirmed her grip on her greatsword. She raised her blade and brought it down in an arc upon the leader. But, the attack was somewhat clumsy and the enemy just stepped the the side. Then, Ella brough her blade near her chest and attempted to ram the tip into her enemy. But once again, the hit was deflected.
"Lost 'yer touch?" She asked.
"You wish!" Ella shouted in response.
"Alright, let's see how well that holds up." She said, laughing as three of her companions bore down onto Ella once more. The first slash cut into Ella's upper leg. The second nicked her shoulder. Ella's attention was more focused on the arrow, which she was once again able to avoid.
"That all you-" Ella was cut off as a brutal vertical strike from the great axe cut her between her shoulder and neck. It burrowed four inches into her body. And she collapsed on the ground.
"You did lose your touch. Hey brigands! Stand down if you want your friend to have any chance of living!" The leader shouted. The whole group began to lift their hands. But, Ara' Sei had other plans. She ran towards Ella. As the leader brought her axe upwards. Ara' Sei reached out her hands with everything she had and shouted with deafening volume. The whole room lit up and manifested light rushed down Ara' Sei's arms and flew across the room. The blow from the great axe that would have surely killed Ella was diverted. And Ella's wounds began to mend. Ella's eyes rushed open.
"Oww... Nice try! But unlike you slaver scum, my friends are actually useful!" Ella taunted.
Ara' Sei's hands shook from the residual power, and she had to make an effort not to fall to her knees. Cedric placed his hands together with a clap, and the volume of his muttering escalated to thunder. The ceiling of the room was filled with clouds that crackled with volume. The slavers' eyes widened as a storm cloud formed in their armory. A bolt of lighting struck down upon the one who had attempted to attack Cedric. The man stumbled backwards as the lightning hit him, and he twitched as the residual electricity flowed through him.
The leader of the slavers looked up with awe and horror at the storm cloud that had formed in the room. But, she didn't see the dagger that flew from the darkness and into her neck. She gasped and choked as she clutched the dagger in her throat, her eyes rolled back as she fell to floor and began to bleed out.
"Remember me?" Eris said, their arm still outstretched from throwing the dagger.
Zerai gathered himself, grasped his sword, and charged at his own assailant. Zerai rammed the tip of the blade through his assailant's chest, and they collapsed to the floor in death.
Cedric's eyes widened as he heard a noise. Shouting, armor clattering.
"Guys... we better hurry up their help is on the way!"
