Eris ran towards the cathedral of Solan. They didn't care how conspicuous it looked. After a few minutes, they arrived, and charged through the doors.
There were a multitude of people praying before the statue, but Roya was nowhere to be seen.
Eris snuck near the edge of the massive chamber, slipping between the shadows. Then, as quietly as they could, they opened the door to the other chambers and went in. They snuck past the bedrooms, then went into the basement.
As they opened the door, they saw everyone else, including Roya, who now wore shining armor and wielded a mace.
"I've told them the news, everyone's here. We need to fight back against him!" Roya declared. With a flash of emerald, Cedric transformed back into his normal form.
"But how?! He has the wand, and I assume he also has those clerics with him!" Cedric said.
"Oh he definitely has more than just that." Eris said.
"Ok! The point is, we're fighting him." Ara' Sei said.
"Eris, where do you think he'll be?" Cedric asked. Eris pondered for a moment.
"He specifically demanded the compliance of other government officials, he's probably going to their mansions and threatening them." Eris answered.
"Well, there's our answer. Let's go!" Ella shouted before running out through the door. Everyone else followed after her. Cedric gave the group a spell to sneak out of the door and through the cathedral. Only a few of the worshippers glanced at them as they left the cathedral.
But, they had no time for stealth as they emerged onto the streets. Everyone was shouting, screaming, or muttering in panic at what was happening.
Roya guided the group towards the center of the city where many of the officials lived.
"Cedric, eyes up!" Eris shouted. Cedric nodded in response and continuously kept tabs on what was happening around them. A few minutes of panicked, silent running went by before Cedric noticed something.
"I see that guy who led us to his manor, Aaron has to be with him!" Cedric shouted. The group reoriented themselves to be in pursuit of the Atheiran cleric.
Then, they all saw a flash of light, and then the boom of an explosion. Then, they came across Aaron's full entourage.
Dead guards lay strewn across the ground, most of which had been partially turned to ash. Aaron stood with two clerics beside him. He stood there, pointing the wand before him. He stood at the gates of a now burning manor. He fired the wand again, and part of the manor collapsed. About twenty five warriors stood around him. About five wore intricately detailed armor, the rest wore a mix of clothes, armor, and guises. Most of them wore clothing to obscure their faces.
"How should we fight them?" Zerai asked.
"Me and you should charge in, the rest should stay back." Ella said.
"And do what?" Roya asked.
"Use your magic, if you have any. Otherwise, take any opportunity you can to help." Ella explained. Everyone nodded.
"Now, let's go." Ella said with a smile. The party walked out into the open while Eris slipped into the shadows once more.
"Aaron Servilis, your treachery ends here!" Roya bellowed. Their eyes shined with light as they spoke the words, and the volume of their words was far greater than any person could naturally handle. The entire group that surrounded Aaron turned around to meet their pursuers.
"Ah, I thought I might find you all." Aaron said, smiling with glee.
