Near the top of the massive tower, there was a barely visible figure clinging to the edge.

"Ok, let's go!" Eris said. The group ran as quickly as they could towards the Atheiran cathedral.

As they passed through the streets to get there, the signs of Aaron's coup became more apparent. Windows were boarded over by wooden planks. Closed signs hung in front of shops. As the group passed, some people would try to hide in the alleyways.

"He's been busy." Cedric whispered to himself. Eris nodded in agreement.

But, as Ara' Sei ran more and more, she felt something. She felt something swelling within her, a source of warmth, of heat. Something was different. Then, she remembered this feeling.

No one had ever told her she had magical powers, but one day she felt that warmth, and she had let it out.

But, she already had her powers, so what was different this time? Ara' Sei tried her best to think about it, but it was difficult while she was running.

Then, she remembered the vision of the woman, the flower fields, the wind, the smell of the flowers, the comfort of knowing where she was going.

"Soon, it'll be time for you to stretch your wings, and fly." Ara' Sei whispered. Ara' Sei stopped running as the realization hit her.

"Wait." After a few moments, everyone skidded to a halt, and looked at her.

       "What is it?" Eris asked.

"I know what to do, and I can do it alone. Make sure you all patch your wounds up, you're the ones who fought your battles, it's time I fought mine." Ara' Sei said.

       "Are you sure?" Zerai asked.

"Yes, now keep each other safe." Ara' Sei said. Then, she ran towards the tower while her friends stayed behind her.

The tower pierced the sky, and it was almost two hundred feet tall. Aaron was near the very top, standing on a ledge. He held a golden wand outwards, but from so far away it was difficult to pick out any other details.

Ara' Sei let her power flow through her, letting it run its course.

"Stretch your wings and fly, stretch your wings and fly." She whispered to herself. She felt it, the warmth rising up through her. There was a burning pain in each of her shoulders.

"Stretch your wings and fly, stretch your wings and fly." She continued to repeat.

The rest of the group could see two points on her back, just below her shoulders, beginning to glow.

"Fly." Ara' Sei commanded. The group, as well as every bystander nearby gasped. She felt it, wind picking up beneath her wings.

Her wings were massive, each one as long as she was tall. They were covered in pristine feathers so white they almost glowed in the dawn.

As she ran forward, she leapt upwards off one foot, and synchronized the downward beat with her wings. She felt herself lifted upward. Persistently, she beat her wings, and soared upwards.

She'd always known how to do this, there was no way it could have been so effortless otherwise.

Civilians watched as a woman with angelic wings soared above the rooftops and ascended towards the apex of the tower. Aaron extended the wand outwards, and the tip of it glowed.

A bead of light flew from the wand down towards Ara' Sei. Ara' Sei was engulfed by the fiery heat of the explosion, but she didn't even wince. Her wings appeared just as pristine as they were before.

Ara' Sei concentrated as she flew upwards, and focused on the ring. She felt the power flow into her arm, and her entire form began to glow. Her hair began to flail as if it had been picked up by a gale. Rivers of light flowed into her arm, and she put her palm forward.

Aaron's form slumped as he sighed. Then, he closed his eyes, and prepared for what he knew was about to happen.

Then, a beam of white light erupted from Ara' Sei's arm. The beam shined brighter than the rising sun, and the entire town was bathed in blinding, pale light.

Aaron was instantaneously turned to dust, and the magical golden wand fell from the top of the tower.

The light of the beam faded over the next brief moments. With her wings, Ara' Sei slowly descended downwards.

Below, the group had been following on the ground the whole time. Cedric picked up the golden wand off the ground. The rest of the group waited in a semicircle around Ara' Sei as she landed.

       "Wow! Nice!" Ella complimented.

"You never told me you could do that." Eris said, their eyes wide.

"No, I haven't been able to do it for very long." Ara' Sei said. She looked up at her pristine white wings, and they rapidly faded.

"Well, I think Aaron's definitely gone this time." Ara' Sei said.

"Yeah, I think so too." Eris replied with a smile.
