The rest aboard the ship awoke to the freezing cold and continued on their journey. Once again, Cedric had to use his magic to stave the effects of the cold off for a few hours. Ara' Sei could barely mutter her incantations between her teeth chattering. The ship continued on its path, and quickly the path forward became uncertain.

The water filled with small ice floes the size of canoes. But now, there were many that were around the size of the ship.

"How are we going to get through them?" Ara' Sei whispered to herself.

"I don't know." Cedric answered, hearing her despite the fact she was only whispering. The ship could hardly move forward through the ice.

"Alright everyone! We can't continue further like this. We're going to have to continue without the ship." Zerai declared.

       "How?" Eris asked.

"Well, I may have said this once or twice before, but I have a spell that can make someone fly for just a short time. Cedric, I need you to find a flat iceberg that we could all stand on. Then, once you've spotted one, I can make it so two people can fly. I'm going to give it to myself and Ella, and we can carry everyone else to the iceberg. From there, we'll have to find a way forward on foot. I'm not sure how, but this ship wasn't made for this kind of ice and it won't be able to continue." Zerai explained.

"Alright, very well!" Ella agreed. Cedric began to search around as the ship crept forward through all of the ice. After about half an hour, Cedric finally spotted a flat topped iceberg.

"There!" He declared, pointing at the iceberg that lay about a mile away. The iceberg was massive, far larger than the ship was.

"Okay, I can only use my power twice, but one use is what it takes to get round trip. Is anyone else able to get there on their own?" Zerai asked.

"I can turn into a shark and swim there, I might take a little longer but I'll get there." Cedric said. Then, he ran towards the edge of the ship, and as he dove off he transformed into a shark with a flash of emerald light.

"Alright. I'll carry Ara' Sei and Ella can carry Eris." Zerai said. Then, he placed his hand on Ella's shoulder. With a whisper, light flowed up from his hand to his shoulders, and a pair of spectral, angelic wings sprouted. The light also flowed to Ella's shoulders, and she also grew spectral, angelic wings.

"Ha! I can fly now! Alright Eris!" She shouted as she scooped up Eris in her arms. Then, with a beat of her spectral wings, she took off and began to fly towards the iceberg in the distance. Zerai extended his hand to Ara' Sei. Ara' Sei let Zerai carry her in his arms. Then, he took off. The feeling of the cold air quickly moving past immediately took over. Soon, she was soaring a hundred feet off the water and ice. The sun's glare danced upon the waves in dazzling patterns. Soon, everyone was standing atop the iceberg. The sea around them looked daunting and dangerous. To all of their knowledge, Point Frost was still hundreds of miles away, and they would have to navigate the endless sea of icebergs without a ship.
