The group awoke to another clear, cold day. After Cedric had meditated and provided the group with food, they set out to find the location the demons were coming from.

As they began to walk to the other side of the island, Cedric stopped the group.

"Give me just a few minutes, there's something that I need to check." Cedric said.

       "What is it?" Zerai asked.

"I have a spell that lets me detect influence from other planes, when I was meditating I felt the capability within me to use it. If these are truly demons, then I'll be able to figure out where they're coming from." Cedric explained.

"How much time do you need?" Zerai asked.

"A little over ten minutes." Cedric answered. Cedric placed his hand on the ice and began to slowly mutter to himself. His palm began to glow with emerald light as he continued his incantation. He could see the town, the mountain, the frozen ponds, the few animals that remained, and the portal. Cedric was ripped away from the spell when he saw it.

I know where it is, and it's definitely a portal." Cedric said before heading off towards the portal. The group followed him, when they all saw it, they gasped.

It was a circular opening in the mountain with a glowing red rim. The portal itself was black, darker than any darkness the party could ever imagine. The red veins of glowing energy had pierced into the earth. As the party approached it, they could feel incredible heat wash over them.

"Okay, I have a spell that can close it. But this is powerful, I'm not sure how much its going to take." Cedric said.

"It's okay, we'll all be right here to help." Eris said. Cedric smiled, then focused his attention back to the portal. He reached out his hand, and it began to glow with the signature sign of his power. Ten seconds passed, his arm began to shake. Suddenly, with an emerald flash, the portal shrunk, the red rim retreating.

"Good job Cedric!" Ella said. Eris smiled and patted him on the back.

"That took a lot of my more powerful magic away. It's going to take a lot to close this thing, probably more than what I have today." Cedric explained.

"It's okay, we'll be here to help if anything happens." Zerai said. Then, the portal began to shake. The energy on the rim of the portal began to crackle.

"Oh no, everyone get ready!" Cedric warned. Zerai's body began to glow. Eris disappeared behind a nearby rock. The power continued to build to the point the sound was deafening, then, there was a red flash, which caused the whole group to reflexively look away.

As the group looked back, there were wolves, but not normal wolves. Their eyes were fiery and firelight glowed from within their jaws. There were three wolves. However, upon the back of them was a man in black armor. The side of his face was covered with black scales, and he carried a wicked smile.

"I don't know about you all, but I am already liking this reunion."
