Cedric quickly spotted around ten guards that were around the commoner that had ratted the group out. The guards slowly advanced, then they charged.

A dagger flew through the air and stuck itself into one of the guard's shoulders. Ella charged forward to meet the guards. With two fluid sweeps of her blade, a guard fell to the ground in pieces. Ella beheaded the one that Eris had already injured.

All around them, screams erupted as civilians desperately ran in fear of the combat.

Zerai held his blade near him and muttered a verse under his breath. From above, a massive column of pale flame blasted down from the sky. The screams around all of them escalated. When the flames faded, four of the guards had been turned into charred remains.

Cedric opened his palm, and a flame formed within it. The flame hurled itself at one of the guards. The flame slammed into the guard's chest, and with a scream the guard fell to the ground with a burnt hole in her chest. The three survivors stopped in their tracks.

"Retreat!" One of them screamed. The guards decided to take cover and run.

       "What now?!" Cedric asked.

"Run!" Eris answered as they retrieved their dagger.

"Where are we going?" Ella asked.

"Note here!" The group followed Eris' lead. But soon, it became clear that too many eyes were on them for them to take cover. Soon, they found themselves pincered between two groups of guards. Each group consisted of eight guards.

Ara' Sei pointed at one of the guards and let a beacon build within her fingertips. As her arm began to shake, she released the beacon. The beacon slammed into one of the guard's faces, and they immediately hit the dirt.

Eris leapt and rolled into one of the nearby alleys, where they disappeared into the growing shadows.

Once again, Ella charged forward without hesitation. One strike cut one guard down. With two more, another one was cut down.

Zerai held his blade in hand and charged at the guards. His first strike was parried by the guard's spear, but the second did find purchase.

Cedric charged forward towards the opposite group that Ella and Zerai were fighting. Instead of a blade, he extended his hand. A green flash emerged from his hands as a wave of raw thunder surged outwards. Two guards were knocked to the ground, but the third barely remained standing.

Then, the guards began their assault. Three descended upon Cedric, two on Ella, two on Zerai, two on Ara' Sei. The remaining guards began looking for Eris.

Cedric evaded one, but was stabbed by the other two strikes. In Oarshear, it was clear that the guards wielded spears as opposed to swords.

With two fluid swings, Ella parried both of the strikes made against her.

       "Really?! Ha!" She taunted.

Zerai glanced one jab off his shoulder without issue, but the other hit his arm. Cedric could faintly hear the clattering of armor from afar over the screams and shouts. It was clear that many more guards were coming, and the group might be in trouble.
