Almost every building was three or four stories tall. The streets were bustling with people. Dwarves, Elves, Halflings, Humans, Orcs, and even tieflings every now and then. People of all kinds had been drawn here from all over.
It took about half an hour of navigating through crowded streets before they could find an inn. The inn had a small, quiet restaurant, but no tavern, and so it was very quiet. The group got three rooms for the week and went two floors up to get to their rooms.
Cedric and Eris shared one room. Ara' Sei and Ella shared another, and Zerai had a room to himself. The group got themselves situated into the inn. All three of the rooms were next to each other, and all of them had views from three floors up. Even so, it was difficult to see far, as Point Sathus had an abundance of tall structures.
The rooms themselves were plainly decorated. The furniture was wooden and the walls were painted a light, sandy yellow color.
One by one, Cedric, Eris, and Zerai all got the magical message from Ara' Sei.
"We've been travelling for a while, use today to get some rest before we go looking for an arcane institution tomorrow."
Cedric and Eris decided to have a relaxation day. They went to a bathhouse, then to a bakery, and then they went shopping.
"What do you want to buy?" Cedric asked.
"Something magical, we finally have enough money." Eris said. So, the two decided to go to a slightly more luxurious portion of town. Within fifteen minutes, something caught Eris' eyes.
It was a shop labelled Weary Wares, the windows were dark, but Cedric could spot one person on the other side.
The two entered the shop.
The shop itself was two stories, but each floor was incredibly small. There were various bookshelves filled with strange books, but the real oddities lined shelves on the walls. There were countless trinkets of various kinds. There were wands, potions, and strange objects whose function was a mystery.
A dwarven woman with red hair was walking about the shelves, sorting things out as she went. Her hair flowed down to her lower back, and she had a well maintained, fiery red beard.
"Oh, hello! Welcome to Weary Wares! We've got magic, trash, and other wonders, feel free to let me know if you need help!" The woman said enthusiastically.
"Hello, my name is Eris and this is Cedric." Eris said, gesturing to Cedric.
"Nice to meet you, the name's Naiyra, I know this shop like the back of my hand." Naiyra replied.
Eris immediately began investigating the shelves, their eyes darting around the strange shop.
"Is it okay if I go upstairs?" Eris asked.
"Oh not at all, the selection continues up there!" Naiyra replied. A few minutes passed where Cedric silently waited on the first floor. Naiyra continued to pace around the shop, humming to herself. After around ten minutes, Eris came back down the stairs in a hurry.
"I've found three things that I've taken a curiosity to, would you mind helping me discern what they are?" Eris asked.
"Certainly! I know what most of the things in here are and do!" Naiyra said. Everyone went up the stairs. The upstairs section was an open room lined with shelves. A massive window made of dark glass opened up to the street below. A small chandelier hung from the ceiling giving the room a warm glow.
"Alright Eris, tell me what it is you're interested in."
