The group went to sleep that day with uncertainty in their minds. What were they going to do about the hundreds of miles of ocean that lay between them and Point Nordis? As Cedric meditated the next day, the group stood close to the edge of the ice.

"I have a spell that can make three of us capable of flight at once. We could probably carry whoever's left." Zerai explained.

"We should probably ask Cedric what he can do for us once he's done meditating." Eris said.

"Agreed." Ara' Sei replied. As the sun began to rise, Cedric finished his meditation.

"Cedric, you got any useful spells that might make the journey back easier?"

       "I do, actually." Cedric said.

"What can you do?" Ara' Sei asked.

"Well, I have a spell that can let us walk on the water for an hour. It'll only be useful once we actually get to a point where this is more water, because the spell won't help us with walking across the icebergs." Cedric explained.

"How much can you do it?" Eris asked.

"If I take some time to meditate, I can do it effortlessly. If I cast it quickly I could do it around five times before I wouldn't want to use it anymore." Cedric answered.

"Okay! We have a way to get across!" Ella said excitedly.

With the help of Zerai and Cedrics' magic, the group was able to quickly travel across the sea of icebergs. After a few days, the group came to a point where it was clear there wouldn't be any more natural icebergs that they could sleep on.

"Cedric, that spell that lets you manipulate water, could you create an iceberg?" Zerai asked.

"Well, it's getting warmer the further we travel, I would have to make it at night so it wouldn't melt. And we'd have to get moving right away when we wake up." Cedric said.

Five days passed, and for the first time in several weeks, the group could spot the green of the land in the distance.

"We're almost there!" Ella said. The group ran as fast as they could for the final few hours. The sky was cloudy above the sandy beach. The sand dunes of the beach quickly lead into the foothills of the Nordan Mountains. Even through the clouds, the group could spot the undeniable light of the sun. Using the sun to navigate, they travelled along the coast, and before long the sight of Point Nordis was visible in the distance.

"We made it!" Ella said happily. Excitedly, the group approached the wall. The wall itself was made of dark stone, and it was over twenty feet high. Guard towers were scattered about the wall. There was a crowd of guards around the front gate of the city, which was a beautifully carved, massive archway.

As they entered, it was clear that this was the largest city they had been to together. Almost every building was four stories high. The streets were flooded with dwarves, humans, and orcs alike. Remnants of melted snow had been trodden into the stone paths. Even in this relatively poor part of the city, the streets were paved, and business was booming. Like in Duskholme, there was the faint smell of the sea spray that permeated the smells of food and filth. It was strange, but unbelievably exciting at the same time.
