The next morning, the group was once again up before the sun had even risen. Cedric provided the group with a meal.

"Last night, we probably only went a few miles, today, we should just focus on going East." Cedric said.

"Does anyone object to that?" Zerai asked. No one raised any doubts. As sunrise came, the group was once again travelling. This time, navigating the woods was more difficult for Cedric. Several times, he had to use magic to climb to the treetops and use the position of the sun in order to navigate.

At midday, the group rested for a little under an hour. Cedric provided additional drinking water.

"Sorry that I'm having a hard time getting us through." Cedric said.

"It's okay. But, do you need help?" Ella asked.

"Are you able to help." Cedric asked in return. Ella nodded.

       "I think so." She replied.

When the group was done with their midday break, they got up again. This time, both Cedric and Ella were at the front of the group. Cedric was once again struggling with the direction, but Ella was able to point out the shadows of tree trunks and the uniform moss that covered them. The remaining six hours of the day were traversed with ease, considering they were walking through a dense forest. Then, when late afternoon turned to evening, the group stopped for the night.

"By my estimate, we got around twenty or so miles today." Cedric said.

"Hmm, we should probably spend a few hours tomorrow to travel a bit further before we search from up above again." Eris said.

"I agree, it's difficult to cover a lot of distance in this dense forest. Are you sure you'll be able to see anything from above?" Zerai asked.

"I know what these forests should look, sound, and feel like. If something's wrong, I'll probably be able to see it." Cedric said.

And just like that, the group went to sleep that night. Cedric lay down next to Eris, and pointed out constellations through the gaps in the canopy above. Then, they both fell asleep.

The next morning, the group was up and going early once again. Cedric and Ella were able to determine the angle of the Sun. Then, they set off in that direction, knowing it was East.

For the first five and half hours of the day, the group navigated through the dense forest. Bushes, uneven ground, and random boulders stood in the group's way. But even so, Cedric and Ella were able to navigate so they traversed it all as quickly as possible.

Once again, the group took a break in the shade once the sun was at its apex in the sky above. After taking their brief break, Eris leapt on Cedric's back and both of them took to the sky.

Cedric set out Eastward in his eagle form, his keen eagle eyes on the lookout for anything abnormal. Then, something caught his eye in the distance. Even in this forest, it was a strangely dense grove of forest. Cedric flew a bit closer. It was difficult to ascertain the details of it, but it was certainly a start.

As the two headed back, they were happy to finally have a lead on something.
