Converging Destinies: Part 1

Chapter 93

       Once the two had gotten back. Ara' Sei used her magic to tell everyone to meet in the girls' room. After a couple minutes, everyone was there.

       "So, we have a development." Zerai declared.

       "We've gotten the diamond. However, there seems to be an opportunity to get even more money than we already have. The supplier of the jeweler we got the diamond from has run dry due to issues in the mines. The jeweler says it's because they've encountered something bad. The jeweler suspected we could get paid if we helped them. Who's up for checking tomorrow?" Ara' Sei asked. The group looked at one another.

       "That seems great to me! I get to fight something again!" Ella said.

      "It's an opportunity we shouldn't pass up." Eris added.

      "Where would we go to do this?" Cedric asked.

       "The jeweler said it was thirty miles South of here. Meaning it'll probably be a full day of travel to get there." Zerai said.

       "In which case, we should wake up early and check out of the inn early. Then, we'll head down South. Is there a more precise way to figure out where the mine is?" Eris asked.

       "I can use my magic to find it once we're within a few miles of it." Cedric said.

       "Additionally, there are signs." Ara' Sei added.

       "Then it's settled. We'll leave tomorrow, if there's anything you want to do before we leave out in the city, do it today." Zerai said. Cedric and Eris looked at one another. Ara' Sei glanced briefly at Zerai.

       "Okay, that's all." Zerai concluded. Zerai, Eric, and Cedric then left the room. Eris put their hand on Cedric's shoulder.

       "So, you wanna have a day out together before we leave?" Eris asked. Cedric smiled.

       "I'd love to!" Cedric said.

       "Okayyy, what do you wanna do?" Eris asked.

       "Hmmm, I remember it was fun when we went to the bathhouse." Cedric said.

       "Okay." Eris replied.

       "Do you have any ideas?" Cedric asked.

       "Well, I was thinking we could go on a date." They answered. Cedric's face lit up.

      "Of course! That would be wonderful!" He said excitedly. Eris returned his smile. The two entered their room and sat down on their shared bed.

       "So far, we have go to a bathhouse, then go to dinner together." I'm not sure that'll take up our entire evening." Eris said.

       "Well, you remember those beaches we walked along to get here. I imagine we could see such a beautiful sunset from them." Cedric said.

       "Oh, okay! We have a plan now! We're gonna go to a bathhouse, then early dinner, then beach." Eris said. Cedric nodded.

       "Okay, well then, let's go Cedric!" Eris said.

       "Actually, you should lead the way, I'm not the best at finding things." Cedric pointed out. Eris got up from the bed, and taking Cedric's hand they led him from the room and out into their evening together. Neither of them could contain how excited they were. Cedric felt butterflies in his stomach from holding Eris' hand. His heart felt like it was jumping all over the place. His head was spinning so much he could barely focus on following Eris. But, he loved all of it.
