Skylee P.O.V

I shut the laptop screen down when someone knocked on the door. Turning the pages of the notebook to make sure I hid the hard work of the past an hour, I sat straight and cleared my throat before saying, "Come in."

It was Number 2, who entered inside and eyed the laptop then the notebook suspiciously. "What are you doing?" He asked, finally looking at me.

"Nothing you should be worrying about," I said, showing him a straight face.

For the last hour, I was researching Patrizio Adolfo to enlightened my knowledge lamp about him. From all the information I got, I could say he was one of the richest people in Italy. He had manufacturing business all around the globe and plenty of grape wine yards. The wine yard business helped him in dealing with the assets of the drugs while, I was damn sure, the manufacturing thing had surely something else cooking inside it.

I should say, he was quite fortunate, because only the lack of evidence thing was his freedom ticket. I couldn't help but wondered when all higher authorities were struggling to get even a single proof against him, how did my Baba get one?

"Are you sure you aren't doing anything that will make us worry in the future..." He trailed off and looked at my face for any reaction but I shrugged casually in response.

"Stop overthinking, Number 2," I said.

"Tamam." He nodded and added with a chuckle, "You know what? Because of your given name when someone calls me by my real name, I get so confused and have to check twice if the person is actually calling me or someone else."

"Then you should thank me for giving you a name, I bet no one has before." I grinned.

He chuckled and was about to say something when Rosalyn barged in and looked at me with a glare.

"Are we gonna talk now?" She asked as she put her hands on her hips, trying to look angry but failed miserably. I noticed she had shopping bags in her hand. I looked at her then back at Number 2.

"Close the door when you'll leave," I said and started to scroll over my phone, aimlessly. Totally ignoring her.

I wasn't talking to her for two days. She deserved a silent treatment for the stunt she had put, though, I enjoyed that stunt but still, she shouldn't have said that to him.

"I have said sorry several times to you. What else do you want me to do?" She whined like a baby and I bit my lower lip to restrain myself from laughing.

"I never asked you to do something," I said, making a bored face.

"Argh. Okay fine. Look here. Helen sends this dress for you. She wants us to join her at a masquerade party," she said, placing the bag in front of me.

"Masquerade party?" I rose my brows.

"Ahan... A class fellow of ours invited the whole school to her place for a party and Helen is invited too. So, she wants us to join her. And obviously, I said yes. Because tomorrow, our school is starting again after getting a suspension, remember? So, I guess we can have a little fun tonight." She explained.

"Yeah? A little fun and then we will again end up in trouble. Because to be honest, before meeting you guys I always thought I am a magnet to trouble but it is really nice to know that I'm not the only one that attracts trouble." I said, glaring at her, and added, "In short, I'm not coming."

"You are such a kill pill." She scrunched her nose up.

"Whatever."

"Come on, get up and get dress, or else I will do it myself." She warned me with a pointed finger. While I looked at her with a bored look over her harmless warning, Number 2 chuckled earning a glare from me.
