The island that housed one of G.U.N.'s top facilities was right in Tails' midst. Assuming that the base had been occupied by some of Eggman's cyber goons, based on its unexpectedly pristine condition, Tails landed his shuttle on the shore which was located at the very tip of the island. A rather long walk was required in order to get to the base, but seeing as the terrain was filled with several tall trees, rocks and a variety of plants, keeping their presence unknown shouldn't cause much worry. A huge jungle stood in between the base and the shore they landed on, providing an opportunity to avoid detection as they trekked on toward said base.
Another source of convenience was the time of their arrival. By the time Tails and the others departed from the stolen shuttle, nightfall was approaching, and it'd be mere minutes until the sun was down and the dark sky would provide extra covertness. With the many helpful coincidences in mind, it seemed as if completing this operation would be a breeze. The only worry on everyone's minds would be the uncertainty regarding the quantity of androids that awaited them. G.U.N. were notorious for owning some of the most advanced weaponry on the planet, so Eggman would be an idiot to waste an opportunity in seizing their arsenal for himself.
They walked for a few miles through the wandering jungle, the duration of which had lasted long enough for nightfall to come by the time the base had come into visual contact. And just as Tails was expecting, a handful of androids stood right outside of the building, presumably to guard the entrance. Now it was time to plan out a strategy which would allow them to take care of the guards without alerting anyone inside and putting their whole mission in jeopardy.
"Whelp, here it is." said Wave, not noticing the guards at first glance. "Aaand there are guards outside, go figure."
"Relax, it's no big deal." Jet assured with a smug expression. "Besides, I'm sure Tails has a plan, right? Right?"
Tails was too distracted formulating a plan just like Jet had predicted, so when Jet went to ask Tails about it, he was startled.
"Huh? Me? Oh...yeah, I got a plan."
Tails had quietly eased in with his plan, carefully informing the others on what he expects from them with a grand amount of detail. Tails wanted to make himself very clear and what he wanted the others to do, they were only going to get one chance in raiding this base after all. If they got caught, Tails won't get the chance to create this device, and if said device is never made, Infinite practically cannot be defeated. It had to be absolutely perfect and nothing short of that quality.
The Babylon Rogue's started rustling up some leaves and plants in an attempt to grab the guards' attention. Within a few moments, one of the androids had taken notice of the strange sound which emanated from the jungle, so it took the two other androids it stood beside as they went to investigate, unbeknownst of the trap they were walking into.
Tails waited until the guards were well distanced enough from the base before he executed his part of the plan. The next order was Tangle's responsibility. She used her tail as a rope which was attatched to the roof of the building, allowing Tails and Whisper to stealthily climb up the makeshift rope which had granted them access to the top floor of the building. Whisper jumped through a shaft on the roof and had a look around the interior of the facility, making sure she was alone. Confirming the lack of androids in the area, she gave the signal to Tails, whose signal was transferred to Tangle. All three had now safely entered the base.
Whisper, being the stealthiest of the group, was tasked with finding some sort of map room or, at the very least, a lead on where the main laboratory was located. As Whisper was busy with her objective, Tails and Tangle stayed behind and kept a close eye on the androids that resided in the facility in an attempt to make sure Whisper finds what they're looking for all while avoiding detection. Luckily for them, a majority of the androids were congregating in the armory. Upon witnessing this, Tails and Tangle had assumed that these androids were delivering weaponry to the Empire, which was exactly the case. Looks like an arms delivery was the sole purpose of their presence in this base after all.
