Following the victorious battle at Central City, it was time to take the battle to another location that was in dire need of a savior. And that location was none other than Mazuri, a hot, sandy city a few hundred kilometers away from Central City. The squad had a few shuttles they could use so getting there wouldn't be much of an issue, but having to face yet another horde of angry machines would be. Everybody packed whatever equipment and weaponry they would need for thr onslaught and headed into their shuttles. Blaze hopped in one of them and Silver followed close behind her.

"So...you ready to endure another battle?" asked Silver as him and Blaze were getting themselves adjusted.

"Oh, not at all." giggled Blaze. "I am literally more exhausted than I think I've ever been in my entire life. But...y'know, we're saving the world here. I don't care how tired I am, saving lives is all I care about right now."

"Words of inspiration and wisdom. Just like always, Blaze." said Silver with a warm smile on his face. "Anywho, where is this...Mazuri?"

"Shouldn't be too far from here." responded Blaze, looking out of the window as they made their departure. "From what I was told, Mazuri is just like this, but without all of the tall buildings and such."

"So more sand and unbearable heat?" whined Silver.

"Yep." replied Blaze.

"Yay!" cheered Silver sarcastically. "But hey, we win this battle and save the city, we'll then be one step closer to overthrowing the Empire."

"More like a tippy toe." said Blaze. "This'll just be two cities in a massive planet. I hate to ruin the moment, but I'm a realist, two saved cities is hardly any progress at all. Especially when you consider the fact that all of our friends are MIA and that Eggman has all of the Emeralds."

Blaze took a moment to observe Silver's depressed expression, which was a result of her recent comments.

"I'm sorry." said Blaze, feeling that her comments may have been a bit too harsh, especially when Silver was trying to lighten the mood.

"It's fine, don't worry about it." shrugged Silver. "Let's just focus on the battle and we'll move on from there, okay?"

"Yeah." replied Blaze, her frown turning into a bright smile.

And with that, the Alliance made their way to Mazuri. By the time the city was in plain view, Blaze ordered the shuttles to open fire on the enemies down below. But then Silver quickly jumped up and suggested that they don't open fire, in order to protect the citizens of the city. Blaze complied and no one ended up getting hurt. When the shuttles reached the city, Blaze, Silver, Tangle, Whisper and the rest of the Alliance soldiers were deployed and began to fight the many androids that lurked throughout the streets.

A few soldiers had unfortunately fallen, but for the most part, the Alliance were able to stand their ground and defeat a good majority of the metallic infestation. Much like the Chaotix situation in Shamar, citizens who were once slaves joined in on the fight for their freedom. As the Alliance made their way throughout the blazing hot city, more and more androids were destroyed and claiming victory seemed as if it were much easier than in Central City.

"Well this was easy! Easier than last time!" boasted Tangle, as she usually does. She struck a cocky pose with her thumb stuck up, no longer paying attention to the battle that surrounds her.

Whisper shot and destroyed an android that was approaching Tangle right before she would've gotten hit.

"Oh, hehe, sorry." chuckled Tangle nervously, rubbing the back of her head and grimacing. "I'll...try to pay a little more attention. Don't wanna get myself killed after all!"
