Sonic Apocalypse

Chapter 18 - Station Square

Station Square was the largest and most heavily populated city on the entire planet, and the capital of the planet's trade markets and businesses. The city was truly the epitome of a  diverse, wealthy and powerful estate that was more than ideal place to live.  It's rich, powerful economic status made it an ideal site for the Eggman Empire's conquest. But not only that, Sonic, Amy and Tails all made themselves residents of this booming city, and they had been living happily there for years, when they weren't fighting Eggman that is.

Amy, along with Blaze and Silver, travelled to Station Square and were ready to take on the largest army of androids that has been seen on Mobius thus far. And as it stood at this moment in time, Station Square was hit harder than any other city on the planet, as nearly five hundred thousand androids have taken the city and ravaged through its many boroughs.

"What's the situation down there?" asked Amy Rose via telecommunication.

"They're fucking everywhere!" responded the Alliance soldier whom Amy was calling. "I don't think I can hold 'em much longer! Augh!"

"Just hold on! Reinforcements will be getting there shortly! Jus--" At that very moment, Amy could hear an extremely close gunshot and all of a sudden, her communications with the soldier were cut off.

"Hello? Hello? Are you there?" worried Amy. "Shit!" said Amy as she spiked the radio into the floor of the plane her, Blaze and Silver were riding in.

Amy sighed heavily and looked back at Silver and Blaze who were staring at her curiously. "Whelp, you'd better hope you two are ready for what's down there! Because it's either we lose the biggest city on the planet," Amy grabbed her Piko Piko Hammer and readied herself for battle, "or we achieve the sweetest victory imaginable."

"I'm with ya Amy," said Blaze as she got up from her seat.

"Ditto." responded Silver. "There may be a massive army of bloodthirsty androids down there, but they can never take away our pride and determination."

"That was corny as hell, but I get your point." giggled Amy. "Now let's get down there and rip these assholes apart!"

"We'll be over the city in approximately..." said the ship's pilot as his focus slowly drifted off towards an Arachnomech, who dropped down from above and began prowling around the city. Everyone on the ship gazed in shock and awe. The Arachnomech eventually reared its laser cannon head towards the ship and began to glow a vividly bright green that grew brighter and brighter.

"Uh...what's it doing?" asked the pilot in a gawky, confused manner.

"You nonce! It's trying to shoot us!" said Blaze as she leaped forward and grabbed hold of the steering wheel as she desperately tried to maneuver the ship away from the Arachnomech's blast. But unfortunately, her efforts came too little, too late as the machine shot down Amy's ship, completely destroying its left wing in an instant and causing the ship to crash into a nearby building. Luckily enough, if Blaze hadn't of moved the steering wheel at all, the laser would've hit them dead on and everyone on board could've been killed.

Silver was able to conjur a bubble shield that limited the impact of the crash and saved everybody's life.

"Thanks Silver," sighed Blaze with relief, "I think that's..two you owe me now."

"Shake it off you two," interrupted Amy brashly, "let's get going! This city ain't gonna save itself!"

"We've got androids in the courtyard!" said an Alliance soldier.

"Whelp, let's get to it then!" said Amy, twirling her hammer on her index finger.

Moments later, an unsuspecting android was smashed on the head by Amy. She then swung her hammer at that same androids like it were a golf ball and it collided into other nearby androids at the speed of a bullet. Amy immediately charged towards the huge crowd of machines without hesitation nor intimidation, swinging away at every android in her way and destroying all of them quickly and almost effortlessly.
