Team Chaotix were sent to Sunset City, a large, coastal city known for its vast array of jewelry shops and  merchants. Known as one of the richest cities on Mobius, Eggman made seizing the city one of his top priorities. The city was also home to Team Chaotix, so like the Babylon Rogue's, they were eager to protect their hometown and liberate them from the Empire's control.

Unlike Empire City, Graffiti City, Westopolis or a majority of the cities on Mobius, Sunset City was almost completely overrun by the time Chaotix's ship had touched down, and it was up to Vector, Espio, Charmy and the many soldiers they had brought with them to prevent the city from being completely lost.

"We can't hold them, the city's lost." said an Alliance soldier to his general.

"We just need to hold them off for a little longer," replied the general named General Lynx, general of this particular platoon, "just until the Alliance brings us some well needed ammunition."

The general looks up to the sky to see Chaotix's ship approaching the city and landing right beside him.

"Ah, and here comes the cavalry." sighed General Lynx with relief.

Team Chaotix touched down in front of where General Lynx and his platoon were standing. The three got off of the ship and greeted the general who was more than relieved to see them and to receive their help in this deadly battle.

"What's the situation?" asked Vector as he shook the general's hand.

"Look for yourself." he replied as he directed Vector to the battle that was taking place downtown, a couple of meters away. The team had landed on the roof of a mid-sized building on the outskirts of the city. The squad were pushed back and have been defending themselves while cramped on top the aforementioned building for the past 2 hours.

As for the rest of the city, it was under heavy fire and was nearly taken over completely. The fires could be seen from miles away, and the screams could be heard from the same distance.

The trio's jaws were dropped as they gazer upon their hometown's destruction. "Well...let's get to it then!" said Vector confidently, "Our city's not gonna save itself!"

"I'm coming with you guys," said the general, "you guys could use all the help you could get."

"We appreciate it." said Vector with an acknowledging thumbs up.

Everybody headed straight for downtown, plowing past the Android blockade with ease mainly thanks to the Chaotix's impressive fighting skills. Vector led the way and him and his crew left no android standing as they made their way throughout the war torn city.

After a few minutes of beating down the androids that stood between them and the heart of Sunset City, Team Chaotix took refuge in a small, burned out building with a few other soldiers in order to plan out some sort of strategy.

"It looks like we got split up," said Vector as he looked back and saw only a handful of soldiers, none of them being the general, "I just hope they're safe."

"There's too many of them." complained Charmy as he saw several hundred androids congregating in one area.

"Keep it down Charmy," snapped Espio, "we need to divise some sort of plan. We can't just jump on them all at once, we'll be overwhelmed in an instant."

"Good thinking Espio," said Vector, "if you hadn't of said that, I would've jumped right in, no hesitation. But you're right, we need a strategy."

"But what exactly do we do against an army that size?" asked Charmy.

Just as Charmy finished talking, a group of androids, led by three tankers approached them from behind without Chaotix noticing at first. An Alliance soldier looked back after hearing slight footsteps, only to have a tanker's spear puncture him through the neck.
