Amy had just hung up after contacting Tangle regarding her victory over at Empire City. She then took a look at the Arachnomech, who started to prowl around the city at a much slower pace than before, but it would fire its ion cannon more often, igniting even the biggest buildings on fire in a very short period of time.

"What's the situation with Tangle and Whisper?" asked Blaze. "Surely they were victorious."

"They were." responded Amy. "And so will we. What's your guys' big plan?"

"I say that Silver and I will try to weaken the Arachnomech, and when the time is right, you will break inside of it, and destroy that vile machine." recommended Blaze.

"That seems like the best strategy." responded Amy. "But the big issue is that there's still quite a bit of land between us and the Arachnomech."

"Not only that," said Silver, "but it seems that even the strongest artillery can't bring the damn thing down. Hopefully, me and Blaze will have the power to change that."

"And when Tangle and Whisper eventually arrive, our job will only become easier." hoped Amy.

Without any further delay, Amy hopped back into the truck and began to drive off while Silver flew right behind her and Blaze ran right behind her. Blaze could run fast enough to keep up with a moving vehicle, though she obviously wasn't nearly as fast as Sonic or Shadow, though she still does posses remarkable speed.

The three progressed their way throughout the city with only minor androids standing in their way, each of which were easily taken care of. Some of them were even ran over by Amy. It seemed to be smooth sailing from here on out.

That is until a group of Skyhawks flew right behind them. At first, none of the three had noticed them as the Skyhawks moved into position. It wasn't until a rocket was launched that nearly hit Blaze when they had finally noticed that something was out to get them.

The incoming middle didn't directly hit Blaze, but the contact that it made was close enough to cause her to trip and fall towards the ground. Luckily though, she was able to grab and latch on to the back of Amy's truck. But unfortunately, she struggled to regain her posture and she became a quick target for the Skyhawks above.

"Blaze!" shouted Silver in concern. "You saved my ass earlier, and now I'm gonna save yours. Just hold on!"

Silver began to conjure a ton of psychic energy and channel into a lightning bolt esque burst of energy that was able to knock out each and every one of the Skyhawks one by one. The bolt travelled through each of them like a bullet ricocheting off a steel wall.

"That was easy." boasted Silver who shrugged and gave a very smugly confident expression.

"I'd ask how much I owe ya now, but I'm afraid I've lost count." chuckled Blaze as she hopped into the bed of the truck.

"Ah, don't worry about it." assured Silver. "Friends should always help each other out, and not just because they "owe ya one.'"

"You're such a sweet person, Silver." blushed Blaze.

"STOP!" shouted Amy, feeling distraught over their constant gushing. "Can you two act like this after the battle's been won?"

"Sorry again. Haha." laughed Blaze, her and Silver feeling incredibly embarrassed after Amy called them out.

"Yeah, sorry Amy. It's just that...ah nevermind. I can't keep getting distracted at a time like this!" said Silver.

Eventually, after some further travelling, they finally reached the Arachnomech's location and were going right up against it, and all of its deadly, mechanical glory. The three gazed up at it, feeling both impressed and frightened at the same time.
