My First Girlfriend Turned Into The Moon-Yue

You are arranged to marry Princess Yue. Same sex couples in the water tribes are mostly unheard of, but the power in the combined ancestral names will make for a strong blood line.

You're not stupid, you know she will never see you the way you want her to. So you give her her space while also becoming close to her. If anything she sees you as a bestie and if she's gonna be forced to marry someone, she's glad that it's you.

Just a month into the marriage the Avatar and his friends come to the southern water tribe. You can see the way Sokka and Yue act together. It hurts, but you want her to be happy. It's not like the Southern Water Tribe is rude or anything, he's a lot better than most boys. Due to this you have no problem being kind to him, after all he is accomplishing something you will never be able to.

One night you take it upon yourself to talk to him.

" Sokka? May I please talk to you for a moment? ", you asks in a polite and elegant tone.

The teen glances up at you with a whimsical expression. You sigh and further explain," It nothing bad, I just wanna have ummm....a bit of bro talk. "

He nods silently and follows me along. When we finally arrive to the nearly deserted area, he mouths off," Look if this about Yue-"

You cut him off with a hand on his coated shoulder," Thank you. "

He furrows his eyebrows together in obvious confusion," For what?"

You sigh and glance down at him," For making my Wife happy. I'll never be able to make her feel the way you do, even if I tried my hardest. I'm thankful that a respectful boy like you has come along to be great to her, since she doesn't want to be with me. I'm not mad at you and I won't fight you , our marriage is mostly political. Soooo...Um yeah..."

After the little speech the two of you get to know each other and pretty much become bros. It hurts but you listen to him talk about his time with Yue. Sokka was oblivious at first but eventually he caught on and talked to his sister about how guilty he felt.

Katara suggested that he help you win Yue over, it clear that you care more for her than he does. He likes Yue, obviously, but you love her and he will no longer step in the way of that. Now he's your wingman, trying to help you win the girl you technically already have.

Yue begins to take a new found interest in you and starts doing special things for you or making up excuses to spend time with you. She never realized how clever and fun you could be. She always knew you were pretty, but now you're the only thing she wants to look at. One afternoon she takes you by surprise and kisses you right on the lips. It was your first kiss ever , so of course you were a blushing mess.

But all that fun comes to an end when she sacrifices her life to save the moon.
