"Zula, Zula, Zula, Zula, Zula!" I yell while running up to my older sister.

She lets me run into her arms and wrap my arms around her waist. I rest my chin against her stomach while peering up at her.

She lowers a gentle hand to the back of my head, "What's wrong?"

I grin sheepishly, "Nothing, I just wanna be with you."

My older sister sighs and pulls me closer to her, "Must you always call me like that? I thought you were hurt."

I shrug with a giggle, "Let's go look at the turtle ducks!"

Azula caresses the side of my face lovingly, "I can't right now, I'm making plans to see Father, so I can find Zuzu."

A pout settles on my lips. I don't remember much about my older brother, Zuko. All I know is that he's banished from the nation.

"I hate it when you leave," I begin to whine.

I don't see much of our father, leaving me to get most of my teachings from Azula. I only ever really talk to her, the guards, and handmaids. I hang out with the handmaid's children when Azula isn't around.

You can say that I'm very sheltered. No one expects me to be as good as Azula or better. It's kinda like I don't exist to the nation. I'm just happy to have Zula with me.

She leans down to kiss my forehead, "Please, you know how I get when you start to cry."

I whimper helplessly and hide my face against her stomach. She sighs through her nose and convinces, "I have to go now, but later we'll go on a nice walk and have a sleepover."

I beam up at her with a dopey grin, "Yay, sleepover! I'll see you later, bye Zula!"

She grabs me by the wrist before I could walk away, "Hold on, aren't you forgetting something?"

I run back up to her, ready for her to lift me up. She picks me up and rests her arms under my behind. She presses her regal lips against my cheek. I give her a sloppy kiss in return, hopping out of her arm. I land on my feet before sprinting to my room.

The handmaid softly detangles my thick wavy locks. I feel bad for making her untangle the mess.

I stop her mid-way through, "It's okay, Liza, I can take care of the rest."

She stammers in uncertainty, "Are you sure, I can-"

I smile at her politely, "Take a break. You've been working all day. Go rest with Mela and tell her I said hi."

Liza immediately bows down thankfully, "Thank you, Princess Zuni. I'm forever in your debt. "

I shake my head at her, "Nonsense, thank you for doing my hair, have a nice day. "

She runs out happily.

With a frown, I grab the brush still stuck in my hair. I section off the hair and slowly begin to detangle it. Azula always finds something I left out of place, even when I make sure everything's absolutely perfect! But not this time, Zula's gonna be very proud.

I glance at myself in the mirror while I brush out my mane. I'm starting to grow out of the baby fat stage, and it makes me sad. I like my chubby cheeks, it's my best quality! But Liza always says I'm beautiful either way.

I leave my hair down instead of putting it in a bun. Azula thinks I look prettier with my hair down. I wish she would let hers down too, she's starting to look a lot like a boy.
