Trigger Warning: A non-consensual kiss.
While leaning over my office desk, I lift a hand to the side of my head. The hand acts as support as I sketch out a design for my boss' new building complex. Ms. Sato wants to help reconstruct the city after Kuvira's invasion. She hired me a couple of months ago after catching me in the middle of creating my graffiti. Despite committing a crime, she admired my skill and offered me a well-paying job. Since then, I've been sketching designs out for her.
A gentle knock echoes through the small room, pulling me from my task. I turn around in my chair, facing the office door.
Ms. Sato peeks from behind the door with a warm smile etched across her ruby lips, "I'm going to head home, now. I suggest you do the same. We both had a long day."
During my eight months working under Ms. Sato, I slowly plodded my way into her close circle, full of people the businesswoman and engineer can trust. These people work hard for her business, attending to it with the same love and care as Ms. Sato herself. Due to gaining her trust, I work more than I did when starting this job, but along with the longer hours comes good money and a semi-close relationship with the CEO.
"Okay. Have a goodnight, Ms. Sato. Rest well." I bid, still focused on her peeking behind the door so I'm not deemed disrespectful.
The older woman takes a step into the office, closing the door behind her as she does so. I watch as she struts up to me. She places a hand on top of my head, gently guiding me to turn back around. Hot air blows past my left ear, inflicting a subtle shudder.
"You've been working hard all day, harder than me, I suppose. Don't you think it's time to relax?" She questions, slipping her hands over my shoulder and gliding them down to my forearms.
Her arms rest over my shoulders, resting her chin on top of my head. My heart stops for a second, confused by the sudden show of affection. Sure, we hug often, but not anything like this.
"I know, Ms. Sato. I just want to finish up my outline." I explain flawlessly, somehow managing to keep from stuttering.
"Mmkay..." She hums close to my ear.
Raava, why must my boss be so hot?
I attempt to zone back in on my work, but her soft breathing and hands roaming over my shoulders and arms keep distracting me. Determined to get my outline done, I scootch my chair forward more, leaning back over as I fall in the groove of my sketch.
However, my attention only lasts for so long. Ms. Sato buries her face in the space between my shoulder and neck, humming loudly.
"So talented..." She mumbles, cuddling her face to the same area again.
Her unusual behavior stuns me into perplexed silence.
I've never seen her act this way before."Um, Ms.Sato?" I call out to the older woman, tapping the end of my pen against the desk as I do so.
She nods against my neck, "Yes."
My hands clench around my pen, trapping the writing utensil in a tight. The extra drawl of the word sends a rush of heat through my body. The warmth settles at my cheeks and spreads to the tips of my ears.
Keep it together. Keep it together.
"I can't focus if you keep getting in my space like this," I mumble while still clenching at my pen.
Usually, Ms. Sato asks me to speak up when I mumble. Though, this time I guess she decided to take mercy on me. She draws back from my body, chuckling at my honest tone. My lips curl downward at her reaction. Though, I don't let it distract me. Instead, I hone into my sketch.
