This was another request. I hope you all enjoy it.

My breathing stutters as I force myself to finish a few more reps. The burning in my arms spreads down to my back as I finish my last two reps, letting the weights fall to the gym floor with a loud clamor. Bumi whoops loudly from beside me, grabbing my hands and twirling me around.

"That's a new record!"

We laugh, collecting all our items as we walk toward the exit. Bumi stops by the mirror, clutching his depleting gut. The older boy's lips curl into a bright grin as he flexes his arms and admires his body. A warm giggle escapes m lips as I happily observe his reaction.

"Come on! Flex with me!" He suggests while pressing a hand to his bicep and measuring his strength.

Taking tiny steps towards him, I gaze at my reflection. My attention falls to my body, a bit surprised by the lack of fat hugging my waist and stomach. Sure, there's some girth, but not as bad as before. My face is less chubby too. The remaining fat settles on my cheeks, but I think it looks cute. The double chin I had forming seems barely visible now.

Bumi lifts my arms, fixing them to the 'proper' flexing position. The skin around my muscles tightens, showing off my well-deserved progress. He wraps his hand around my bicep, laughing happily at the strength hiding behind my dwindling layer of fat.

"Damn! I don't know whether to be impressed or afraid!" The non-bender yelps while leaning over a bit, getting in my face during his excitement. He pulls at my wrist, dragging me out of the gym, "We gotta show the gang!"

I can't help but grin at his childish antics, allowing him to drag me down the city block. Judging by the direction he's leading me, I'm assuming we're stopping by Lin's apartment. The walk there usually doesn't take too long. Despite wanting to show off my improvement, my heart hammers against my ribs as we approach our friend's home. I know she won't judge me or anything, but I'm nervous, I guess. Plus, she can be weird sometimes. I'm not sure I can deal with that right now.

I better suck it up, though. We're already standing in front of the apartment building. Lin's mom is always at work, which makes her home the second-best hangout spot. I love Kya's parents, but they're a bit nosey sometimes. They mean well, but they do too much to connect with me.

Bumi knocks on Lin's door frantically after being let up. A loud voice shouts from the other side of the door, "Suyin, don't you dare open that door!"

Giggles echo past the barrier in front of us, bare feet slapping against the tiled floor in a race to the apartment entrance. The door swings open, revealing the tiny earth bender. She grins at our presence. Her lips curled up tightly before dropping in disgust. Suyin plugs her nose with her pointer and thumb dramatically, gaging over nothing.

"You guys smell awful!" She cries.

Lin finally catches up with her sister. Her cheeks flush in embarrassment.

"She didn't mean that-"

"But I did! Did you guys just come walking through the sewer? You smell like trash," Suyin complains, her voice muffled due to her fingers plugging her nose.

The oldest of the pair grabs at her sister's shoulders. She pulls the child behind her aggressively before smiling shyly.

"Ignore her. She can be rude sometimes," She rushes to distract us.

Bumi and I nod silently, completely understanding her sister's behavior. Lin invites us in, letting us rest on the couch.

Bumi lays upon the cushions comfortably, leaving me little to no space to sit down. He groans as he gets comfortable. I guess the workout did a number on him, not that I can judge much. My body is already beginning to ache. The metal bender eyes me carefully, silently watching me struggle to find a seat. She pats the space beside her expectantly. We'll end up pressed together a bit, but I'll have more room to sit with her than with Bumi.
