I've seen the way she looks at Asami. At first, I thought it was just a simple admiration, but things changed. She spends most of her time with the businesswoman and even flirts with her from time to time. They always flirted. It was just a thing they would do. I never had a problem with it until things their words felt a little too real.

I don't think Korra even realizes she's in love with the non-bender. No matter how much it will pain me to see her leave and eventually end up with the other woman, I know to do the right thing.

We weren't meant to last long, but I still fell hard. How could I not? She's the avatar, so can you really blame me?

My soon-to-be-ex walks in through the front door and makes her way to the kitchen, a large grin etched across her face.

"Hey, Y/n! How was your day?" She asks while pulling me in a bear hug.

I allow myself to melt in her embrace subconsciously, breathing in her refreshing smell.

"Fine. I helped Kya with a healing session." I mumble while pulling away gently so that I'm leaning against the counter again with a mug of tea wrapped in my hands.

She leans in for a kiss, but I turn my head to the side softly, "Sorry, babe. I can tell you just ate something nasty."

Her cheeks flush, lifting a hand to smell her breath.

"I'll go take care of that." She mumbles, walking over to the bathroom.

I catch her by the wrist, "Actually, I wanna talk to you about something. Remember, you can always be honest with me. We're friends before girlfriends, and I'll take anything with great care."

Her eyebrows raise in confusion with an adorable pout settled at her lips.

"Okay. What is it?" She asks with a smile that shatters my heart.

She's so blissfully unaware of her feelings.

I take her by the hands and guide her to the couch. She smiles softly, cuddling up to my chest instead of sitting in front of me.

Does she have to make this harder?

"So, I noticed that you've been spending a lot of time with Asami," I mention gently.

She grins, eyes locking on the wall behind me, zoning out for a second.

"Yeah, she's the best," Korra admits with a light blush coating her cheeks.

"I know this is going to sound weird, but do you think you might have any romantic feelings for her? It's okay if you do..."

The younger girl scrambles from her position, so she's facing me. Her eyes darken with a hint of betrayal, evidently hurt by my accusation.

"Why would you even say that? You know I love you, " She questions in an agitated tone.

I sigh softly, sitting up straight, "What do you feel when you're with her?"

"What?" She questions again, her annoyed tone weakening into a tinier timber.

"Does your heart race when you see her? Do you find yourself staring? Do you ever daydream about her-" She cuts me off with a pout.

"Why would you ask me that? Asami's just a friend, " Korra promises.

She takes her hands in mine and leans up to kiss me. With a tender hand, I push her away by her chest.

"No, Korra. I think we need a break. You should think this out a bit. Think about your feelings for both of us. If you have feelings for her, I'll understand. No harm done, and no messy breakup. If you still wanna be with me, then we can stay together and continue being a couple, " I suggest with an understanding smile.

"I don't want a break...I wanna be with you. Why are you doing this?"

Her eyes begin to water, but I quickly pull her into a hug. She clutches on to me tightly, burying her face in my chest. It hurts now, but soon she'll happy, regardless of what she decides to do.

"I love you." She sobs desperately.

I kiss her forehead softly, "I love you too, but you need this."
