Trigger Warning: Nausea
My head flies backward as I clutch my stomach desperately, "You're kidding!"
Kuvira crosses her arms, rolling her eyes as I lose myself in a fit of laughter. Fed up by my behavior, she repositions herself to face away from me, sitting up from the edge of her bed and twisting to her side.
"Haha, my misery is just so funny..." She grumbles.
The frown settled upon the older woman's lips forces yet another cry of laughter up from my throat.
"YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON KORRA!" I belt loudly, unable to control myself at this point. My giggles turn into wheezes and screams, struggling to take in air as I bang against her bedroom wall with my fist.
Deciding she took enough of my bullying, Kuvira bends her metal water bottle towards my head. Her arm swung back and snapped forward in targeted power.
"Will you be quiet! Someone might hear you, idiot." She whispers. Her shoulders bounce softly in her embarrassed rage.
Wing and Wei have a habit of snooping around sometimes, so I honestly can't blame her for being so paranoid, especially since I tend to be extra for no reason. It's a part of my natural charm.
"Damn. If I knew you'd be laughing your ass off, I wouldn't have told you." She mumbles.
The force of the bottle hurtling towards the side of my head takes me out. The other half of my head slams against her door as I fall to the ground. Luckily, I land on my bum.
If not for my natural cushions, I'd be all banged up. My hands raise to both sides of my head, groaning beside the bottom part of Kuvira's mattress. I peek up at my friend, pouting up at her.
"Don't look at me like that... You deserved a nice hit to the head. Maybe now you won't be so annoying." She glances down at me a few times before giving in.
"Fine. Come up here, you crybaby." She pats the space beside her.
My lips tug at either end, grinning as I hop up from the floor and onto her bed. I wrap my arms around her neck and place myself in her lap to annoy her. She sighs in her irritation but rests her arms around my waist. Instinctively, she turns her head from me, resting her left cheek against the side of my tummy to avoid being smothered by my breasts.
"Yay!" I exclaim, hugging her neck tightly while resting my cheek against the top of her head.
"Why am I friends with you?" She questions while staring off into the mirror of her vanity.
"Because I was the only person besides your family who wasn't afraid to talk to you after the whole Great Uniter thing. And.......You love me!" I belt, squeezing onto her neck tighter.
The metal bender groans in response, annoyed by my over-the-top nature. I pull away from her a bit, allowing my hands to clasp about the back of her neck loosely. My focus drifts to her face, leaning over slightly so I can get a better look at her. She tugs her eyebrows together, tearing her bottom lip raw with her teeth.
For once, I decide to be a decent friend. That stupid sad expression she got going on kinda makes my heart hurt a little. So, I straighten up in her lap, coughing loudly to get her attention. Her head snaps up, waiting for me to say something.
"When did you know you liked Korra?" I question, proving to care for her emotions.
Kuvira shrugs, loosening her grip around my waist, "I don't know. I always just admired her, I guess. The way she treated me with so much understanding and care after I got caught surprised me. And the way she held me...I felt safe for once like I didn't have to pretend to be someone I'm not."
