Daryl's P.O.V

Dwight threw me into a dark room. No windows, no nothing. It was cold, and they stripped me of my clothes. There was only one door, locked from the outside, and the only light came from underneath the door. I was in pain from the gunshot wound, I barely even felt my arm at this point, and I was weak. It was silent, all until a record started playing and I heard clapping.
"We're on easy street, and it feels so sweet. 'Cause the world is 'bout a treat when you're on easy street..."
The song was annoying, this was torture. It was hell, absolute hell.

~~~~~~~~~~
It's been a day, and I've been trapped in here. I didn't eat, I didn't sleep, I didn't speak. There was nothing I could do.
"I got myself into this..." I thought. "This is all my fault."
~~~~~~~~~~

I heard footsteps on the other side of the door, and then a set of keys unlocked the lock. A bright light filled the room and I squinted and looked up, only to see Dwight.
"Son of a bitch..." I thought.
He handed me a sandwich, which smelled like dog food, and tossed me some old clothes with a spray painted "A" on the shirt. I took the sandwich and ate it, forcing myself because I was starving. He then turned around slowly and locked the door behind him, leaving me alone in this dark place once again.

~~~~~~~~~~
"But the world is such a treat when you're on Easy Street."
I was literally going to rip off my ears because of this song. It was stuck in my head, and they wouldn't turn it off. After this, I won't ever be able to listen to music again.
~~~~~~~~~~

That damn song has been on loop now for days probably. They fed me dog sandwiches for days. But, I couldn't help but think I deserved this.
Sometime that day, Dwight showed up and dragged me out of my cell. He pushed me down a hallway and threatened me with my crossbow. He opened a door and pushed me inside a room, where I saw that girl from the forest.
I kept my head down and Dwight sat me down in a chair.
"Hey doc." He said.
"We were just finishing up " The doctor said and waved the girl away.
She stopped and looked at me, but I didn't look up.
"Hey.." She said slowly, nicely. "I'm Sherry. Remember? You're... Daryl, right?" She asked.
"Dont talk to him." Dwight said.
She just looked at him and sighed. She then slowly walked out of the room, and the doctor began patching me up. Despite being one of these pricks, doc's been the nicest to me since I've got here.
The doctor finished cleaning the gunshot wound and put a bandage on it. I put on my shirt again, and Dwight walked we out of the room. We were heading back to my cell when we heard whistling and Negan soon came around the corner with another one of his men.
Dwight instantly kneeled and pulled me down to my knees, and we bowed our heads.
"Dwighty boy." Negan said and twirled his bat in his hand. "I need to talk to you for a minute."
Dwight turned the corner and sat me down in a chair.
"Sit." He ordered.
The other man pulled out a gun and aimed it at me, watching me as Negan and Dwight talked down the hallway. I waited and stared into a room that was in front of me, and the bed was made and it was clean. It was like a little apartment in there with its own kitchen and sitting area.
Dwight then showed back up and saw me staring. He then forcefully grabbed me again and continued leading me to my cell.

~~~~~~~~~~
It was another long day in the dark room. No one came for me, no one fed me, and I was alone.
Someone walked by and slid something under the door. I picked it up and saw it was a picture of Glenn's dismembered body.
I automatically remembered what happened, what I did, and remembered Glenn's face.
"I can see this is hard on you guys. I am sorry, I truly am." Negan said, but I didn't believe him. "But I did say it..." He said and grinned. "No exceptions."
That's when he murdered Glenn. Because of me....
It was my fault. I punched Negan, and that cost Glenn his life, and Maggie her husband. And then Kell.... I should've listened to her. I shouldn't have fought with her, I fucked up.
The way that guy held her down, hurt her, because she was still trying to get to me, after everything that happened...
I threw the picture away from me and cried. I really cried, and I knew that that was when I was breaking.
~~~~~~~~~~

Dwight walked me around the compound today and we ended up outside. I saw the chainlink fence that separated the walkers from the compound. I also saw the walkers clawing at the fence were wearing the same clothes as me. They were prisoners here, just like me, and now they're dead.
Dwight then grabbed the back of my shirt and pushed me against the fence, making the walkers growl with hunger.
"That's you asshole." He told me. "Unless you're smart... your choice."

~~~~~~~~~~
I was sitting alone again, trying to save my energy, and listening to that damn song still. I was staring at the door, and then noticed that there was more light shining through and the door wasn't closed all the way.
I quietly opened the door, and glanced down the hallway, which was empty. I snuck down the hallways, and luckily no one was around. I found a door that had an exit sign above it, and instanly ran out. As soon as the sun hit my skin, I saw a group of men guarding the door, with Negan standing in the middle of them.
"Shit.." I thought.
The men surrounded me and Negan stood in front of me.
"Who are you?" Negan asked, and pointed to a man to his right.
"Negan." He said.
"Who are you?" He said and pointed to another.
"Negan." He said.
"Who are you!" He said again.
"Negan!" They all said.
Negan just smiled and scoffed. "You see that? I am everywhere, and this was your shot to prove to me that that fundamental fact was sinking in, and you failed. Which sucks, because your life was about to get so much cooler. Am I right?" Negan asked his men.
"Damn right." The first one said.
"Hah. And just wait... you just wait Daryl until you hear your wife moaning my name. Because she will." Negan said. "Don't I have plans for that girl."
I just stayed quiet, but inside I was boiling with rage. No matter what, I would not let this bastard touch my wife.
Negan then raised his bat and faked hitting me, but I didn't flinch. I just stared him in the eyes, not even caring about the bat. I was focused on the thought of killing him.
"Man." He said and lowered his bat. "You don't scare easy. I love that. But Lucille... that kinda pisses her off. She finds it to be disrespectful. Lucky for you, she's not feeling too thirsty today."
I just looked at his bat, and only remembered in covered in blood. With Abraham's blood. With Glenn's...
"But I am..." He said and looked at me. "So I am.. gonna go get me a drink." He laughed.
He swung the bat over his shoudler and began whistling as he walked away. The group of men surrounded me, but I was not going down without a fight. I threw the first punch, but I didn't win.
~~~~~~~~~~

Dwight took me into one of those clean rooms, where I saw Negan waiting for me. Negan smiled and held out his arms.
"Dwight told me you were looking in this room a couple days ago. Look around. This... well, it could all be yours." Negan said. "All you gotta do is answer one simple question."
"Who are you?" Negan asked.
I knew what he wanted me to say, but I refused. I wasn't giving in.
"Cat got your tongue? Or are you just overwhelmed by the awesomeness of this?" He asked. "I'm gonna ask one more time."
Negan walked forwards and got right in my face.
"Who are you." He repeated, his tone becoming serious.
I bit my tongue and stayed silent. I didn't know what to do at the moment, I didn't know what Negan would do, but I did know the truth.
I then looked up at Negan. "Daryl." I said.
"This is the only--" Dwight tried to tell me, but Negan stopped him.
"It's cool, D." Negan said and smiled. "He made his choice. Ain't my problem if he made a double ass choice."
Dwight grabbed me and dragged me back to my cell. I sat down inside and Dwight got pissed.
"You either stay in that room, or you hang on the fence!" He yelled.
I didn't say anything and he was about to leave, but I remembered something he told me a few days ago when he was telling me how they ended up in that burnt forest that day.
"I get why you did it." I said. "You were thinking about someone else... That's why I can't."
Dwight just closed the door on me and I was left in the dark, again. But I didn't break this time, I didn't give in. Because I was fighting. For myself, for Lee, but mostly for Kell... I was going to get back to Kell.
