It's been a week since Lee was born, and I couldn't be happier. I spent all my time with him and Daryl did too. Deanna was going to give us some time together before we would have to start our jobs. I talked to Maggie, and she said that when she wasn't on watchtower duty that she'd watch Lee for me. If Maggie wasn't available then others of the group offered to help out if I needed.

I woke up early in the morning to hear Lee crying. I rolled out of bed and stretched my arms. I looked over and saw Daryl was in a deep sleep and slightly smiled at him. I walked across the hall into the nursery, and opened the door to hear Lee crying.
"Hey baby." I said. "It's okay."
I picked him up and rocked him in my arms, and he stopped crying but was still upset.
"Oh you're hungry." I said. "Yes you are."
I grabbed his baby blanket and sat down in the rocking chair. I started breast feeding him and rocked back and forth in the chair. I looked down at him and pet his head. I then heard a knock on the door and saw Daryl walk in.
"Hey honey." I said.
"How's my girl?" He asked and kissed my head.
"Great." I said and looked up at him and smiled.
He smiled back and watched as Lee was feeding. I pet Lee's head and he looked up at me with his tiny blue eyes. Everything felt peaceful until we heard a loud frantic knocking. Daryl and I looked at each other and he sighed.
"I'll go get it." Daryl said.
He looked at Lee one more time then walked downstairs. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on, but I had to be here with Lee. In a few minutes he was done eating and I burped him. Then I stood up and put him back in his crib.
"Momma will be right back." I said and put his baby blanket over him.
I quickly walked downstairs and walked into the living room. I saw Rick and Carol talking with Daryl, and Rick looked furious.
"Everything alright?" I asked as I walked by Daryl's side.
Rick was pacing side to side and Carol shook her head at me. Rick sighed and stood in front of Daryl.
"Do you still have the guns?" He asked.
"What guns?" I asked confused.
"At the party I snuck into the pantry and took some guns. Daryl took his." Carol explained.
She then pulled out my pistol and handed it to me. I quickly took it from her and loved the familiar feeling of my heavy pistol in my hand. I tucked it away in my shirt and Rick loaded his.
"What are you planning on doing with that?" I asked concerned.
"Pete's hitting Jessie, maybe even Sam." Carol said.
I just sighed and shook my head. "I knew I got a bad feeling from that guy."
Me and Carol just nodded at each other and sighed. We both knew what it was like to have an abusive person in our lives. I had my father, and Carol had her husband.
Carol then looked back at Rick. "You know this can only go one way... you have to kill him."
Rick nodded in agreement and I just shook my head.
"Don't you think you're being a little rash?" I asked. "Is killing him really necessary?"
"Yes." Carol said.
Rick hid his gun in his shirt then looked up at me. For a second I couldn't recognize him, because the look in his eyes was different.
"Says the one who killed her own father." Rick growled at me.
I just stared at him and Daryl stood up straighter, ready to defend me. I just blinked my eyes and saw Rick didn't feel anything for what he said.
"Get.. the fuck.. out of my house." I growled back.
He tilted his head and I saw him slowly return back to normal, but it was too late. What he said hurt me and pissed me off.
"Kelley-" He began to say.
"Get the hell out of my house." I raised my voice at him.
I pushed Rick and he took a couple steps backwards. I walked over to the front door and opened it, but Rick didn't move. I walked back over to Rick and everyone watched me.
"Fucking get out!" I said.
I pushed him again and he quickly turned around and left. Carol slowly followed him and I slammed the door behind them. I held onto the doorknob and took a deep breath.
"Kell?" Daryl asked.
I turned around and Daryl just looked at me.
"I can't believe he just said that." I said, still dumbfounded.
"I'll talk to him." Daryl said.
"That motherfucker." I said and shook my head. "He really wants to get his ass beat doesn't he?"
"Kell, calm down." Daryl said. "He didn't mean it."
I was about to say something when I heard Lee start crying for me again. I grunted and was about to walk away when Daryl stopped me.
"Ill go check on him, you stay here and calm down." Daryl said.
He glanced down and I noticed that I was clenching my fists, and I realized that I was too angry to deal with a baby right now. I unclenched my fists and took a step back. Daryl walked up stairs and I sat the the dining room table. I couldn't help but rub my aching fist and think about my father, and about Rick.
