"Keep them off B!" We heard Gareth shout.
We ran down an alley and were finally out of sight.
"Come on! This way!" Rick yelled.
We turned a corner and everyone ran ahead. But, then the smell hit me. The smell of dead rotten meat. I instantly leaned against the wall and covered my mouth. I looked down a dead end and saw piles of human bones, some with meat still on them and the rest picked clean. Michonne saw me against the wall. She grabbed my arm, pulling me away from the smell, and we followed everyone else. We ran past some train cars, and heard screaming coming from inside them.
"Help! Help! Help!" They screamed.
"What the hell?" Carl said.
"Keep moving." Rick ordered.
We ran down another alleyway, saw a door, and ran inside the building. Daryl was the last one in and slammed the door behind us, blocking it with a table.
We looked around and saw a sinister sight. Words and phrases were written on the walls. Candles were lit all over the floor with statues everywhere. Then my senses kicked in and I smelt the blood they used to write on the walls.
I groaned and bent over, covering my nose and mouth. "I'm gonna be sick." I mumbled.
Daryl rubbed my back and I shook my head.
"First bone piles, and now some kind of sinister shit." I said.
I held my stomach and slowly stood up, trying my hardest not to vomit.
"Bone piles?" Rick asked.
"Human bones. Some still had meat on them." Michonne explained.
Just at the thought of it, I turned around and threw up. The smells in this room were too much, making me sick to my stomach. Daryl stood by me and pulled my hair out of the way. I gagged one more time then wiped my mouth.
"I don't think they're trying to kill us." Michonne said.
"No. They aimed at our feet." Rick said.
I stood up and took a deep breath. "We need to go. Now!" I said.
"Are you able?" Daryl asked.
"I'm fine." I said.
They nodded and we walked towards an open door, but someone on the outside closed it on us.
"There." Daryl said and pointed to another door.
We went over to it and ran back outside back into the gunfire. They still aimed at our feet while we ran out into the open. There was a fence and a single box car, and we tried to make a run for it, but then a line of people stopped in front of us and aimed their guns.
We turned around and saw we were surrounded.
We all aimed our guns, but clearly were outnumbered. Gareth appeared on top of a roof and looked down at us.
"Hello... again." He said.
"Fuck you!" I spat at him.
"You screwed up girl." He taunted.
Then, the man that I shot earlier stood next to Gareth. They nodded and the man shot his gun at me. The bullet hit my foot and I yelled in pain.
I fell on the ground and looked at my foot that now had a hole in it. The bullet went straight through, luckily, but it hurt like hell.
"Hey!" Daryl yelled.
He aimed his gun at the men, but they aimed back. Daryl lowered his gun and ran to my side. He helped me stand up and I limped on my leg, and couldn't put weight on my foot.
"That's just payback. Don't make me put the next bullet in your head." He yelled at me.
I bit my tongue and stared down Gareth. He just laughed and looked at all of us.
"Drop all your weapons. Now!" He ordered.
We hesitantly dropped all our weapons and bags and stood there.
"Ringleader, go to your left. The train car." Gareth yelled. "Do what we say and the boy goes with you. Anything else, he dies and you end up in there anyways."
Rick slowly nodded and walked over to the train car and lined up in front of the door. He looked back at us and kept his eyes on Carl.
"Now, the archer." Gareth said.
Daryl looked at me and I looked down at his arm around my waist, helping me stand up.
"Go, or we kill her." He said.
Daryl slowly backed away and I felt his grasp leave me standing there alone. Daryl lined up behind Rick and watched me. Gareth then stared at me and nodded towards the line.
"Now, the smart ass." He mocked.
I limped my way over to the line and stood behind Daryl. I kept biting my tongue and kept my head down so I wouldn't do anything stupid. But he sure did know how to piss me off.
"Now, the samurai." He said, and Michonne lined up behind me.
We looked over and saw Carl was standing all alone in the middle of the assault.
"Line up in that order. Ringleader, archer, smart ass, and samurai." Gareth ordered.
"My son!" Rick yelled.
Everything was quiet as we watched Carl.
"Go kid." Gareth said, and Carl lined up behind Michonne.
"Ringleader. Open the door and go in." Gareth said.
"I'll go in with him." Rick said and looked at Carl.
"Don't make us kill him now." Gareth threatened.
Rick sighed and looked back at Carl. He then opened the door to the train car, which was dark inside, and walked in. I looked down and saw a small puddle of blood under my foot and sighed. I limped behind Daryl and was followed by Michonne. Carl was the last one in and a group of guys followed and closed the door behind us.
Once inside, Rick instantly hugged Carl. Daryl held me and I groaned in pain. They looked down at my foot, then at me, and I shook my head.
"It's not that bad. I'm fine." I said.
Daryl kissed my forehead and sighed when he hugged me. Then we heard a thud from the other corner and stared into the darkness. Everyone reached for a weapon, but didn't have any. Except me. I hid a pocket knife in my pants and pulled it out.
I didn't think he'd make me strip.
"He's so stupid." I thought.
"How'd you hide that?" Daryl asked.
"I'm smart." I smirked and he smirked back at me.
"Rick..." A voice said.
It was familiar and I instantly put my knife away. There was a small amount of light in the train car now and I saw two figures walk forwards. It was Maggie and Glenn.
I limped over to them and hugged them.
"Thank God you're alive." I said.
They hugged me back and smiled.
"You too." They said.
The group walked up behind me and we saw people walk behind them. There was Sasha, Bob, and 4 strangers.
"You're here." Rick said. "You're here..." he repeated in amusement.
Rick hugged them and looked at the strangers behind them. We stared at them curiously.
"They're our friends. They helped save us." Maggie said.
"Yeah. Now they're friends of ours." Daryl said.
"For however long that'll be." A large ginger man with a beard said.
"No." Rick said. "They're gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out."
"Find our what?" The man asked.
Rick peered out a crack on the train car then looked back at us.
"That they are fucking with the wrong people."
Rick said.
I stood up straight and nodded in agreement.
"Hell yeah." I agreed.
This was going to get interesting real quick.
