Daryl ran up to me and tried to pull me away from the mass of walkers, but I fought back.
I grabbed Daryl's gun and cocked it. I aimed it at Zach and shot him in the head.
Just before a walker could bite my arm, Daryl dragged me out of the store behind everyone else. They barricaded the door and we were safe outside, the walkers couldn't break through.
We regrouped back at the car, and that's when Daryl flipped out. He yanked his gun out of my hand and slammed his hand on the car.
"Why the hell did you just stand there?! You could have been killed!" Daryl yelled in my face.
Michonne tried to push him back, but Daryl pushed her instead.
"Answer me, goddamn it." He yelled.
"It's the fucking PACT! Remember?" I yelled back at him. "We don't let one of our own turn. It's-It's the pact." I said and calmed down. "He was just a kid."
Daryl stared at me and his expression went soft. He breathed heavily and raised his arm out to me, but I backed away. He looked at me and stood there, along with everyone else watching us. He held out his hand and walked closer.
"I'm sorry.." He said quietly.
I finally took his hand and he hugged me tightly.
"I'm sorry I yelled at you." He said.
"Thanks, but I think you're forgetting I can take care of myself Dixon." I said.
He nodded and pet my hair. "I know you can... Mrs. Dixon." He whispered in my ear.
I chuckled and looked at him.
"Love you." Daryl said.
"Love you." I said back.
Once everyone saw we were okay and stopped fighting they got back in the car. I got behind Daryl on his back and he revved his engine. We drove back to the prison, and I felt like we were all fed up with what this world has become.
It's was almost night when we showed back up at the prison.
We parked our vehicles and Rick walked up to us. Glenn explained what happened to him and the rest of us went inside. Daryl and I walked to our cell and put our stuff down. I instantly took off my shirt and changed into a new one, and so did Daryl.
"I'll tell Beth about Zach." Daryl sighed.
"You sure?" I asked, and then yawned.
He nodded at me. "I'll be back soon and we can go to bed, yeah?" He said.
I nodded in agreement and Daryl left the cell. Before bed, I got up and decided I wanted to see Judith at least once today. I saw Rick walking to his cell with Judith in his arms. He stopped and nodded at me and I asked for Judith. He gave me her, and she started babbling at me.
"Did we get anything in the snares today?" I asked, trying to start a conversation.
"No. Nothing good today." Rick said.
I saw Rick lower his head and I knew he wasn't okay. I sat down next to him and he sighed.
"Is everything okay Rick?" I asked.
He nodded his head, but I knew he was lying.
"You can talk to me Rick. You know that right?" I said.
Rick sighed and hesitated. "This woman in the forest, she lost it.. Her husband died, and she wanted to be with him. She killed herself.. and I left her there." Rick said.
"It's not your fault Rick. She was just too far gone, and sometimes you can't help people like that. But you.." I said and pointed at Rick. "You are not."
"But, how that woman wound up, that could've been me. I got close to that... If I lost Judith, or Carl, or the prison.." Rick sighed.
"Not even then Rick. Not even then." I said and put my hand on his shoulder. "You came back. Carl came back.. We get to come back from this. We all did." I said.
Rick nodded and I saw him tearing up. He leaned against me and rested his head on my shoulder. I rubbed his back and he slowly calmed down. I stood up and put Judith in her crib. Rick stood and and followed me. He stepped forwards and hugged me. I hugged him back but then he kissed my cheek for a long moment.
"Thank you... Thank you." He whispered.
I slowly nodded and walked out of his cell. I knew Rick was sad still, but I sure hope he wouldn't try anything. At the same time thought, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
I walked back to my cell and laid down in bed. Daryl came back a few minutes later. He took off his vest, and laid in bed next to me. He wrapped his arm around my waist and I pushed myself against him and sighed.
"You okay?" Daryl asked.
"Mhm-hmm." I mumbled.
I rolled over in bed and looked at him, and he moved my hair out of my face. I put my hand on his cheek and kissed him. He grabbed my butt and pulled me close and I quietly moaned. Daryl broke the kiss, then kissed my forehead.
"Get some sleep." Daryl said. "We got jobs in the morning."
I nodded and rested my head against his chest. I sighed once more, slowly closed my eyes, and before I knew it I fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning and felt a little nauseous. I tried not to think about it and quickly got dressed. I put on a tank top, vest, an old pair of cut up pants, and laced up my combat boots. I just finished putting on my belt and grabbing my gun when Daryl woke up. I smiled at him and he sat up in bed and stretched. Daryl grabbed my hand and dragged me back into bed. I laughed and sat in his lap, and he kissed me.
"I gotta go." I mumbled while still kissing him.
"You have a few more minutes don't you?" Daryl said.
I chuckled and kissed him again. After a minute I finally got up and Daryl pouted.
"I seriously gotta go. We can finish this later." I joked.
Daryl laughed and watched as I left. I walked outside, opened the gate, and walked into the field. I saw Rick and Carl already started and I quickly joined in.
Today was my morning job of crop work. I tend to the garden, water, and sometimes even stray off to go see the animals.
I was making some small talk with Carl, who was talking about the other kids here at the prison.
"What about that one girl I saw you talking to the other day?" I asked Carl and playfully nudged him.
I saw him blush and he tipped his cowboy hat.
"She's just a friend." Carl mumbled.
I laughed and saw Rick looked back at us. He smiled at us and Carl got super red and embarrassed.
BANG!
We all instantly turned around towards the noise. The gunshot came from inside the cellblocks and that couldn't mean anything good.
"Get in the guard tower with Maggie." Rick ordered. "Don't argue. Go now."
Me and Carl nodded and ran towards the front gates and met up with Maggie. We watched Rick run up to the prison, and could only wonder what was happening in there.
