Izuku and Ochako were watching from a distance as their friend, Makoto Naegi, was conversing with Kyoko Kirigiri, his crush.
"Okay, see ya, Kyoko." "Bye, Makoto."
Makoto walked into the direction of his two friends.
"What?" "When are you going to get some guts?", asked Ochako. "Guts? For what?" "What else? Confessing to Kirigiri!"
Makoto nearly stumbled back from embarrassment. "I-I have no idea what you're talking about." "Makoto, it's clear that you like her", said Izuku. Makoto sighed. "But, what if she doesn't feel the same way?" Izuku put a hand on his friend's shoulder. "I was in the same position as you were, not so long ago. I wasn't sure if Ochako would like me, but guess what? She did. And now we're a couple!"
Makoto looked down. "I don't know." "Then I'll help you!"
Kyoko sat on a bench reading a book, until she saw from her peripheral vision Makoto walking up to her. "Makoto?" "Hey, Kyoko."
The lavender haired girl closed her book and put it down. "Can I help with something?" Makoto looked at a wall to see Izuku and Ochako giving him a thumbs up.
"There's this new coffee shop that opened up, and I was wondering if you'd like to go with me there after school." Kyoko closed. "No." Makoto looked disappointed.
"I'd love to."
The brown haired boy was shocked but happy, and blushed when seeing his crush smile.
Kyoko walked into the coffee shop, and saw Makoto waving at her. She walked up to him and took a seat.
They ordered their coffees and started to chat.
"So... how is it going?" "Is that best you could ask?" "Well, what else do you want me to say?" Kyoko giggled, making Makoto's heart squeeze.
From outside, Izuku and Ochako were watching the two lovebirds. "It looks like it's going well", said Izuku. "Operation Naegiri is sure to succeed", said Ochako.
"Operation... what?" "Naegiri. It's their ship name." "I think Ashido is rubbing off on you."
Time passed, and Makoto and Kyoko exited the coffee shop. "Thanks Makoto. I had fun." "Yeah. You're welcome." "By the way, did you plan on bringing me here, or was it Midoriya and Uraraka's idea?"
Makoto was shocked. "I'm not stupid Makoto. Oh, and..." Kyoko leaned forward and kissed Makoto on the lips. "That's a little thank you gift. Now, how about we walk home together?" "Y-yeah, totally."
The new couple joined hands and walked down the road.
"Mission accomplished", said Ochako. Izuku chuckled. "Now, how about we try out that coffee shop?" "Thought you'd never ask."
