Manami was out in a field of flowers, searching for a specific flower. A sunflower.
It was not for her, if that is what you were wondering. It was for her boyfriend, Karma Akabane.
"There's one!", said Manami, as she spotted the flower she was searching for. She plucked the golden flower and placed it in the basket she brought with her. The spectacled girl then saw more, so she continued plucking. She then walked back to her car and drove home.
Karma was in his room, fidgeting with a small black box, tapping his foot rapidly in anxiety. He then heard a knock at the door. He stood up from his seat and opened up the front door, seeing the love of his life.
"Manami! Hey, how can I help?" "Hey, Karma. Can I come in?" "Hm? Oh, of course!" Karma stepped aside and allowed Manami to enter his home.
"So, why the sudden visit?" Manami reached into her basket. "I was going to wait until our next meet up, but I couldn't wait." Manami pulled out a bundle of sunflowers.
"You've done so much for me, I thought I'd give you something. I heard sunflowers were your favorite."
Karma smiled and took the flowers. He placed them in an empty vase, while pulling out one sunflower. He walked closer to Manami and placed the flower in her hair. Manami blushed at the gesture.
"Manami, there is also another thing you could give me." "And that is?" Karma held Manami's hands. "Manami, most people would've seen you as a nerd. A geek. But not me. I've seen a beautiful and strong woman, who I am happy to call my own." "Karma?"
Karma got down on one knee. "So when I say there is something you can give me..." He took out the small black box, opening it to reveal a diamond ring. "That something is the honor of becoming my wife."
Manami held a hand to her mouth and began crying. "Yes." "Huh?" "Yes! YES! I will marry you!"
Karma placed the ring on Manami's finger, then embraced her while doing a twirl.
"So, what now, future mrs. Akabane?" "I don't know? What?" Karma rubbed his nose against Manami's. "I have a few suggestions." Before Manami could ask what he meant, Karma carried her bridal style to his bedroom.
