"Hold onto your hat tightly, Natsumi", Haru told her daughter. She turned around to see her wife with their other daughter, standing by a bush.
"Look mama!", said Fuyumi, the girl that was with Haru's wife, Tokaku. "A ladybug!"
Tokaku crouched down next to Fuyumi and looked at the insect that rested on the leaf of a bush. "Fuyumi, want to know something interesting?", said the blue haired woman. Her daughter looked at her, waiting for an answer.
"If a ladybug lands on you, you will have good luck."
Fuyumi looked back at the insect with joy on her face. The ladybug flew off the leaf, and landed on the little girl's shoulder.
"It landed on my shoulder! That means I will have good luck!" Tokaku smiled. "Yes it does." The woman noticed her wife smiling at her. "What?" "I just enjoy your interactions with our children", said Haru. The couple slid their hands into each other's, while their daughters walked in front of them.
Tokaku looked ahead and saw a truck, forcing a smile onto her face. Haru noticed her wife's expression. "Tokaku? What's causing you to be so cheerful?" The blue haired woman pointed at the truck, making Haru smile this time.
"Fuyumi! Natsumi!" The two girls turned to their parents with curious expressions on their faces.
"You two want ice cream?"
Natsumi smiled brightly while Fuyumi jumped for joy.
The family walked towards the truck, where they spotted a man happily giving out ice cream to the people in the vicinity.
Tokaku, Haru, and their two daughters stood in front of the truck, ordering their treats.
"I want that one!", said Fuyumi. Haru smiled. "One bubblegum ice cream for her, then strawberry for me." "I also want strawberry!", said Natsumi.
"Chocolate for me", said Tokaku.
Haru, Fuyumi, and Natsumi had their ice creams on cones, while Tokaku had her's in a small cup.
"Careful, Natsumi. Your ice cream is melting", Haru warned her daughter. The pink haired girl turned her ice cream around and noticed it dripping down the cone. She licked the drop away, and kept licking faster to prevent her treat from melting any further.
After finishing their ice creams, the family continued their walk. Tokaku looked at Fuyumi and crouched down to her. "You have ice cream around your mouth."
The blue haired woman took out a napkin and wiped her daughter's mouth. "That's better." The four females stopped again when they reached a playground, where the two little girls went to play. While they did that, Tokaku and Haru sat down on a bench.
"This was nice", said Tokaku. "This is nice", said Haru. Tokaku looked at her wife with confusion, before smiling. "You're right. This is nice. And it always will be, as long as I have you and our daughters."
Haru smiled and gave her lover a kiss, then rested her head on her shoulder. Tokaku returned the gesture and rested her head on top of Haru's.
