I know it's not valentines day, but this was an idea that just popped into my head.
It was Valentines Day, and Company 8 had decorated the entire station for the holiday. Meanwhile, one of the members was having a problem.
"Something wrong, Tamaki?", asked Maki. Tamaki snapped out of her daydreaming and looked at her friend. "Oh, um, nothing!" Maki eyed her suspiciously. "Really? Cause it's Valentines Day and you've got the look of someone thinking of their crush."
"You watch way too many romance movies, Maki", said Tamaki. "But I am telling the truth! You're thinking of a special someone!" "No I am not!"
"Not what?" The two girls turned and saw Shinra and Arthur. "Nothing! Mind your own business", said Tamaki. Maki looked at her friend grinned smugly. Tamaki noticed this and felt awkward, so decided to start a conversation. "So, Shinra, what have you been up to?"
"Not much. Just stopped Arthur here from assaulting a bunch of girls." "It is a day of love! Surely someone wishes to be my princess!", said Arthur. "Sure, whatever your highness." "Don't mock me! You're just upset because no one wishes to be your valentine."
Shinra froze for a moment, then walked off. "Great Arthur. Just great", said Maki. "What did I do?" Tamaki looked into her desk drawer at a heart shaped box. "Might as well just give it to him", thought Tamaki.Shinra was about to do some paperwork. When he pulled out his chair, he noticed something on it. A heart shaped box. It had a note on it. It said: To my fiery valentine.
Shinra was shocked. "Is this a joke?" He looked around for any possible suspects. No luck. Shinra opened the box and saw lots of small chocolates. He put one in his mouth. "These are real deal. This isn't a prank."
Unbeknownst to the young firefighter, a girl was watching him. "That went better than expected", thought Tamaki. Unfortunately, she her pants slid off making her trip, causing her to land on her face and her butt to hang in the air.
"Huh? Tamaki!?" "Don't look at me!" "Right sorry!" Shinra looked away and waited for Tamaki to take care of her situation.
"Ok. All clear." Shinra turned around. "So, Tamaki. Did you give me this?" Tamaki's eyes widened. "Wha- how did you know!?" Shinra took the note that was on the box. "This looks like your handwriting." Tamaki face palmed herself. "Of course he'd know my handwriting."
"Well, um, thanks I guess", said Shinra. "That's it?", asked Tamaki. "Nothing else to say?"
"Sorry, it's just, the first valentines gift I've ever got." Tamaki was taken aback. "First?"
"Ever since my pyrokinesis first activated, everyone treated me like a monster. They thought I was responsible for what happened to my mom and Sho. So every Valentines Day, I never got a gift. Not even a card."
Tamaki listened and felt terrible. She was constantly being mean to Shinra and didn't even know what he had to go through. "Oh. Well, your welcome." "For what?" "The gift, dummy." "Oh, right."
Shinra sat down in his chair. "Well, I gotta get some paperwork done. At least I got some chocolate to keep me company." "Hey, what am I?! Chopped liver?!", exclaimed Tamaki.
Shinra looked at Tamaki, then at his papers. "You know what, these can wait till tomorrow, and as a gentleman, I need to give a lady a gift in return. But since I don't have one, how about we share my gift?" Tamaki blushed. "I-I'd like that."
Shinra grinned widely. "Let's find a place to sit outside shall we? The stars are beautiful out tonight."
And just like that, Tamaki and Shinra enjoyed a box of chocolates together on a bench under the night sky.
