Erina was walking down the halls of Totsuki when she walked past a class with a certain red hair in it.
The way he cooked with that confident smile, like he knew he was gonna win.
"Miss Nakiri?"
Erina was snapped out of her train of thought.
"Yes Hisoka? What is it?"
"Nothing ma'am. You just seemed distracted, that's all."
"Don't be silly! I never get distracted! Now then, I have work to do", said Erina, walking away from her assistant.
Timeskip
Erina sat in her office, looking out the window at the students walking around.
She became slightly jealous when seeing a couple under a sakura tree.
"Ah, another romance has blossomed", said Hisako.
"Hm? What do you mean?", asked Erina.
"Oh, well you see miss Nakiri, there's a rumor that whoever confesses their feelings to the one they love under that sakura tree, they will fall in love"
"Ha! As if! It's nothing but a silly rumor!", laughed Erina.
"True, but the thing is, lots of couples in this school are together because of that tree", said Hisako.
Erina was taken aback.
'Maybe if I confess to Yukihira under that tree, we could...'
"Miss Nakiri?", asked Hisako, waving her hand in front of the blonde's face.
"Huh? Oh yes! Let's just get back to work!"
Later that afternoon
Soma was just leaving his class when he noticed a certain blonde walk up to him.
"Yukihira! I need to speak with you!"
"Sure."
Erina was startled. He replied in such a calm manner.
"Well, not now. Meet me under the sakura tree."
"Which one."
"I'll be standing by it so you'll know", said Erina while trying to hide her red cheeks.
Soma noticed this and grinned.
"What time?"
"After school. When else?"
Soma chuckled. "Okay. It's a date."
"D-date?! I never said anything about that!"
"Okay. You're the boss", said Soma.
Timeskip
Erina waited under the tree.
"Where is that idiot? He's late."
Her eyes were suddenly covered by two hands.
"Guess who?"
Erina grumbled. She recognized the voice of the figure.
"Yukihira."
"Yay! You guessed right!", cheered Soma, removing his hands from Erina's eyes. "So, why're we here exactly?"
Erina blushed. She was nervous, but she had to do this. Who knew? Someone could take Soma away from her.
"I-I'm not good at this, so don't laugh at me. Yukihira, I've hated you since you came to Totsuki. But the more you were around, the more I... realized something. I've never felt this away about anyone. What I'm trying to say is, I want to hold your hand, spend time with you all the time, make you happy... oh screw it! I like you okay!"
Erina squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for a response.
She slightly opened her eyes when she heard Soma start to laugh.
"I told you not to laugh!"
"I can't help it! You just planned to do something this cheesy to confess to me! You could've just asked me out you know!"
Erina looked down with a sad expression. Soma noticed this and stopped laughing.
"Hey, don't be upset. I didn't exactly say no, did I?"
Erina looked up. "Th-then what is your answer?"
"This", said Soma, as he smashed his lips on Erina's.
She was shocked, but melted into the kiss.
"Guess this tree really does work", thought Erina.
